East Course - Fun layout, kinda rough shape...

Beautiful course setting with great landscape of elevation changes, mature Douglas Firs lining the fairways, challenging while still containing opportunities for birdie. Nice folks there, not a bad practice facility.

All that said, the tee boxes and greens are in really bad shape a lot of the time. Lots of dirt spots on the greens from old ball marks, plenty of work needed on the putting surfaces. Immaculate bunkers though.

Bummer to see such a cool course layout in less than complimentary shape in the end of summer. Will defiantly golf here again but hope to see it get some TLC!

Oh, and if you play the back tees prepare yourself for a 245 par 3!!!!

Great short game training!

This is a great short game training course, nicely maintained and well worth the hot deal golfnow price. Don't expect an actual par 3 course because the holes are predominantly around 50-70 yards with one or two at around 90.

Holes are a little packed together so careful of other golfers who might be in your way when you blade that flop shot :)

Super fun course in the country!

This is a really nice course for any skill level and is the best value around if you are willing to make the drive. Really nice folks out there from the staff to the other golfers.

I thought that the course was in decent shape especially for how cheap the greens fees are. Fairways can be in rough shape, some yellowed and some hardpan, greens are good although heavily watered and pretty slow Poa.

TONS of wildlife out here as you are half way to Mt. Hood from Portland, a cool sheer cliff with a view of the Clackamas River, nice Mt. Hood views, saw some quail, deer, and huge nutria. Literally one of the quietest courses I've ever played.

As you read other reviews everyone is always complaining about the weird/bizarre holes (5, 8, 13) weird, maybe, but ten bucks says those people weren't hitting very straight that day because I thought those holes were really cool. Also if you are good at shaping the ball off the tee, you will LOVE the quirks of this course. At any rate, I like the variety and challenge of the course layout and what a welcome change from playing more straightforward courses like Glendoveer - West and Colwood National.

Basically I enjoyed the course because I had to think before I hit a lot of my shots. Will be back!
