Highlands Reserve Golf Club

Hadn’t played here in a few years. Was pleasantly surprised on excellent condition. . David, who I was paired with had a freakin hole in one! My two Scottsmen from Ayr made the foursome enjoyable ( Stephan and George). I’ll certainly be playing again

Started raining as we teed off and the course became cart path only. Brutal first few holes in torrential rain (none forecasted). You can imagine how it is to putt with water streaming behind your ball Regardless the course was fair, Max and Tim from CT tolerated my swing deficits and a good time was had by all. The fairways and tee boxes were excellent and greens true.
Proshop friendly and helpful and starter as well. All in all an enjoyable day

Second time to play in a few months. Course in excellent condition, greens smooth and a bit tricky.
Appreciated Don the starter on 12/24 helping me with a request.
I’ve always played very early so pace has been good.
Included lunch at times is a plus.

As a local I always saw it on Golf Now and read the other reviews. Decided that really how bad could it be? Worse is the answer. This course in its day was probably fabulous. Now it is not. Friendly lady checked us in at 0700. Range had sign it was closed so no warm up.
Let me shorten the review. My friend plays to a 7 and me a ten. We stopped tracking strokes after the third hole.Shots slightly off the fairway cannot be found in the rough. The course does not drain so everything is a wet mess. Tee boxes are cut but not maintained. Had to move my ball multiple times in fairway since I landed in multiple weeds. The only shining point is the greens. Although not perfect, they rolled true. Take my advice, its not worth your $25

Hadn’t played the course in a few years.
On arrival while parked was greeted by staff who wisked my clubs away to the carts. In pro shop a super friendly and helpful .
Only minus would be the overinflated cost of a bucket of balls to hit.
“Doc” was the starter, again very friendly. The gentleman in the cart with”ranger” sign seemed to care less if you were there playing or not.
Course was in great shape. Cart path only 7,10, 18 all very wet.
Had nice turkey club sandwich for lunch in clubhouse.
This was a weekday morning tee time. Don’t know what weekend is like but was playing with a regular. He relates it’s packed in

Always have a good experience here. Course is in good condition. It is my go to and I want to have a round in the area. Staff is friendly and helpful. I think in all the times I’ve played there I’ve only seen the marshals during the busiest times of year Which are in November through the end of April. It will be very crowded during those times

Hadn’t played the course in about 8 months. Clubhouse was sparse but adequate and the grill area clean. Men’s bathroom needs some upgrades and there wasn’t soap or paper towels to wash hands. . Driving range is adequate but the $10 for large bucket of shabby cut balls was poor. The course was in good condition and plays much longer than it appears. Windy conditions did not help either. Greens are slow with most in good shape and roll true. The course is under new management and it is worth a try.
