Desert Dunes Golf Course
Played On 01/26/2018Great Course and Great Views from the Patio
Had a great round with fun group of Canadians. Early morning start was cool but was perfect weather about 7 holes in. Greens were trickier than they looked. Bunkers could use a better grade of sand. Drinks and lunch on the patio after the affords a great view of the mountains as well as 1st and 10th tees and 9th and 18th greens. Group I played with had been in town for a month and they were playing the course for the 10th time!! With all the courses to choose from - that says something.
Escena Golf Club
Played On 01/24/2018Nice layout, but slow play
Enjoyed the layout, found a lot of sand but it was in good shape, soft and fluffy. Greens where much tougher to read than they looked. Greens probably caused the slow play.
Brigantine Golf Links
Played On 07/23/2017Course needs TLC
Course looked tired and under maintained. No visual difference between the fairway and the rough. Lost 3 balls in the rough among the clover. The best part of the course were the greens; they weren't fast but they rolled true.
The Architects Golf Club
Played On 06/02/2015Great Play on a rainy day!
Played on the tail end of 2 days of rain that dropped 2" on the course. While there were some wet areas in low spots the course was in great shape. Got a hot deal of only $15 at 4pm. While it was cart path only we still played in 3 hours. Fairways are like carpet and the greens rolled true. Sands traps were like concrete due to the water but in truth they are always a little thin on sand. Lots of interesting holes that make you fit in some long approch shots at times. Will certainly go back again.
EastWood Golf Course
Played On 01/17/2015Soggy but Solid Play
The course was soft and soggy at times, with many water filled bunkers even though it hadn't rained for a couple of days. Greens were in decent shape. Play was slow, especially in early part of round. The whites at 6500 may be too long for high handicappers; it as for the group in front of us. At $28 it is good value for FL golf. They have a shortage of carts and the course is too spread out walk so get there early or you'll be waiting for carts to return before you can head out.
Berkleigh Golf Club
Played On 12/20/2014Good but not lacks imagination
Played on a beautiful and unusually warm day in December. Course was in great shape for that time of year. Course is pleasant enough but front 9 is like Groundhog Day; every hole is the same with a downhill tee shot over a creek and approach up hill to the green. Back 9 is more interesting. With Golfnow hot deals this is a good value; I don't think I'd play at full price in season.
Royal Oaks Golf Club
Played On 11/16/2014Solid Value
Friendly staff started things off right. Well conditioned for late in the season; some greens had some damage from animals. Nice layout with a few holes that will challange better golfers, but most were fair and playable for all.
Blue Shamrock Golf Club
Played On 11/09/2014Well Conditioned for late in the season
Got out as a twosome on a Sunday afternoon; course was in great shape and greens rolled smooth. Behind groups of 3 and 4, so 1st 9 was as little slow. Rather than continue at that pace, we when back and played front 9 again and zipped thru in under 1 1/2 hours. Requires some well placed shots.
Neshobe Golf Club
Played On 07/18/2014Nice play without breaking the bank
Good solid play, greens were perfect. Not a walkers course. Course was busy but play kept moving.
Mystic Dunes Golf Club
Played On 02/06/2014Tough but fair
Hugh waste bunkers play with your head but if you pick the right lines they don't affect you too much. Played the Blues on the front and Whites on the back back on advice of a local; good plan - some holes get realy long on the back. Greens were a little slow but rolled true.
Wildcat Crossing Golf Club
Played On 02/04/2014Lots of water, keep it straight.
PLayed in an 8am shotgun start. Every hole was double grouped but play kept moving without delays. Lots of water on the course so consult your GPS before making your shots. Greens were a little furry so putting required alot of extra pace. More dogleg lefts than you ususally encounter. A fun play all around.
The Club At Westminster
Played On 02/03/2014Nice but want more bang for my buck.
Play was a little slow but bearable. Greens were cut so tight that there was amost no grass but a kind of dirt base. Course was not that tight but still resulted in a lot of lost or unplayable balls.
Blackmoor Golf Club
Played On 01/06/2014Too many doglegs!
Wet conditions and too many doglegs of the same length kept this course from being top notch. A 25 min wait at the turn due to double teeing was also disappointing.
Green Mountain National Golf Course
Played On 10/18/2013Great views
The course was in great shape except for the fact that the greens had been aerated but not over dressed with sand. It made putting difficult. The views were spectacular. You'll play every club in your bag.
Starfire Golf Club - The King Course
Played On 10/19/2012Should be played from back tees
Played with locals from middle tees. Need to play backtees for greater challange. Two par 3's were only 94 yards. Fair amount of water and bunkers to help defend the course against its short yardage.
Talking Stick Golf Club - Piipaash Course
Played On 10/14/2012South Course - Solid Play - Well Conditioned
Very plush for a desert course.Greens receptive to approach shots but putting was very slow. Stear clear of the waste areas off the fairway. Beautiful views of the mountains on many holes.
