Interesting layout in decent conditions for this time of year. Greens were especially good - fast and receptive. Terrific elevation changes with great views. Very different than most courses in the valley.
Only trouble was the 114 degree heat!!

After playing this course a number of times, and really enjoying it, it was surprising when I played in August how poor the course conditions were. Specifically the greens, which were taking a long time to come back, and they were reconstructing two greens.
I played this morning, and the conditions were absolutely pristine - greens were running true and fast, and the new greens were also in perfect shape. When off first and alone at 8:00am and rolled off the 18th at 10:45. Pure joy.

The greens are in super condition rolling fast and true. I play here a lot, and it is in great shape. Just stay out of the native grasses because it is almost impossible to find a ball there - very, very thick.

Very challenging layout for me, especially playing from the blue tees - 6600 yards. Lots of well placed bunkers and trees, undulating greens. Beautiful vistas from many of the holes.
I definitely used every club in the bag, and the 134 slope rating is well deserved.
Driving range and practice facility very good.
Arrived at 10, teed off at 11, and was done just before 2. Played as a single and no one was on the course in front of me.
Will definitely play again.

Played the course on Monday as well. Just a few days after they opened after over seeding, so it was still cart path only. Who cares! The course is in phenomenal condition -tees, fairways, bunkers and greens. I guess cart path only is keeping golfers away, but to me it was pure joy. 3 hours on Monday, and 3 hours and 15 minutes today. Go play!!!

Have played the Faldo course many times, and think it is one of the best public courses in the valley. 6600 yards from the Championship tees and with 160+ bunkers, it presents some challenges. Visually it is great with lots of open desert scenery. Always in top condition. Get there before rates go back over $100!

This was my first time on this course, and because of the high Slope rating, I was a bit reluctant to try it. From the Silver tee boxes, about 6,400 yes., the rating is an imposing 136. It is a beautiful layout with dramatic elevation changes, especially three of the par 3s. Spectacular. It is a very fair course with generous fairways and large greens. My biggest challenge was the speed of the greens which the Starter claimed at12 on the Stempmeter. So chipping and putting took some getting used to. I loved it and shot an 82. Playing with a member did help considerably. Play Quintero!

I love this course, but no matter what day I play, there is always an army of maintenance crews out on the course. Like almost every hole has at least one crew. It becomes distracting and takes away from the overall enjoyment of this tract. If you knew they did maintenance on Monday you could stay away til Tuesday. Yesterday, Wednesday, was the worst.

I have played this course a number of times because of the conditions and challenge of the layout. It is in great shape - fairways, bunkers and greens. But have yet to play it in less than 5 hours. Yesterday we teed off at 12:15 and walked off the course at 6:10. Lots of people walk, and some walk real, real slow. No rangers are ever present to help.
