Worth the drive

I took my father-in-law here for the first time. He was blown away by the course layout and the views. I enjoyed trying to tell him where the holes where located and seeing his jaw drop in disbelief.
My only issue was the green speeds. This is my second time playing here and again they were very slow. Needs to be cut and rolled.

Don’t Bother

Visiting for the week, looking forward to getting some rounds in. I found a Hot Deal for Woodland East, from the reviews and the pictures the course looked good. When I arrived, I immediately regretted it. The club house looks like it’s stuck in the 70’s, there’s no signs pointing you in the right direction to check in.
Once I checked in, I wanted to hit the range a little before starting but I couldn’t find the starter. I guess he was getting a cart from the course because it died. During the round, there were three other carts left on the course because they died.
On the course itself, nothing to write home about. Tee boxes were poorly groomed along with all bunkers in the fairway and green side. The greens were moving but there were enough sand patches to slow your ball down.
In the end, the course did not match the price.

A Jem

I was vacationing near by, decided to try a new course out. This course didn’t disappoint. Challenging at times, forgiving at others. I played with locals who helped direct me through the course. My only issue was the cart situation. My tee time was pushed back by 30-45 minutes because they didn’t have enough carts available. Aside from the minor issue, I’d play this course again if I’m near the area.

Not worth it.

Course conditions alone were under par. I should have paid a little more to play Arrowwood or Camp Pen.. The staff was great, we arrived right at our tee time and got no issues.

Becoming a favorite

Baker North is easily becoming one of my favorite tracks in San Diego. Front 9 are good scoring holes, the back is where you need to be patient and choose shots wisely. The greens a not as receiving as if like them to be but role pretty true.

Vineyard

The course itself was great, the pace of play is what I didn't like. No marshal all day until we got to #14, same with cart girl. Our tee time was @noon, so the time of day shouldn't have been an issue.

Location-Location

Let me start first with GolfNow, I found a great deal for the course. Nowhere in the teatime posting did it say that I had to have the loyalty card. In the fine print they tell you about the courses loyalty program after I booked a tee time. I'll give it to them that I overlooked it but even the guy in the pro shop told me it happens all the time. GolfNow you need to broadcast a little bit better next time.
Now for the course! Tee boxes were in horrible condition, on the par three's I was hitting off dirt every time. Because it was supposed to rain that day, The pace of play was the only thing that saved me from not leaving. Fairways had more ground under repair than I've ever seen. I'm a local guy and I like to play local courses but this one was pretty bad. Unless you're a tourist or businessman with money to blow, pick a different course.
