Great course. I played the course twice in the last week. Last Friday the policy regarding covid allowed singles to ride alone in a cart. When I showed up yesterday, I was informed that I had to share a cart with someone I didn’t know. Surprise! They said it’s a new policy implemented the previous day. I made it he teetime through TeeOff before this new policy was implemented. I said since this was a new policy not disclosed by TeeOff nor by the Southern Dunes website ( I checked), to allow me to ride alone. They said no and they can’t change the policy!! I did have the option of paying $25 more and I could take a cart out alone.
See my comment from 11/19/20 on the same cart issue. Kind of a joke for such a good (Troon) course. Again, while a good course, the on-course management and staff are kind of cartoonish. However, corporate Troon management called and addressed my issue the same day it occurred which was impressive and appreciated.

Palm Valley Golf course is in great shape after the over seed. Tee to greens all in great shape..The course rates are reasonable with the OB sports Palm card. Palm Valley has three courses three nines and north south and west the north and south are 90° carts in the West course is at the West nine is cartpath only

The course is in excellent condition. It’s nice to hit the ball off grass. This time of year, Phoenix courses are in fair condition due to the heat and grass change over. This course has a great layout and the scenery is amazing.

The rough was in poor condition. The rough wasn't overseeded and a lot of pockets that didn't have grass in the ball. I like the layout. I've played her previously where the rough wad in better condition....

Looks like they have been investing some money into the condition of the course. Rumored they have a filtered the salt out of the water that is used for irrigation. Some dirt bare spots need grass. This course and club West need to clean and maintain the desert area's of the course. Its not appealing to the eye. Sand traps were hard packed sand. They need to prep the traps for play. The tee boxes,fairways and greens were in good shape. Overall a big improvement....keep up the good work!

The south course in good condition. The greens just out of their aeration process. The green scondition are ok. Some bumps and the ball would not follow the breaks on the greens. I would wait another week before playing the course. The North course greens are to be aerated on Tuesday, July 5th.

Great Kept Secret...Always In Great Shape With The Exception Of The Sand Traps.....Problem No Sand!...The Traps Contain Wet Packed Sand An mud.

Union Hills is always is good shape. The no elevated tee boxes and no desert areas...long par 4's and par 5"s a creek runs through the front nine. Good course to use your driver....
