I have played Silver Rock on it's opening day and hundreds of times since then. The course is maintained to the highest standards - In fact, I live at PGA West, and the "Rock" has surpassed the conditions at the Palmer private for years! Silver Rock offers a challenge from every tee to green. The staff is fantastic and the views are always incredible. It's a must play course. Yes, it very popular and busy during season - so play to your level, not beyond. Keep up with the group in front so everyone can have a great round.

The Golf Club at La Quinta has always been a "go to course, so put it on your list and play it." The course is in great shape and the landscaping surrounding the entire course is being re-done - but it's all on the sides and does not impact play at all. The cleaner look is great and I can't wait until it's completed. The course plays very well and offers many challenges and opportunities. The staff is very friendly and Bistro 60 is great food regardless if you are playing or not - if fact it's a great locals restaurant.
