We always enjoy playing this course. Super friendly staff. Great conditions. Fast pace of play. The greens were a bit rough this time, which isn't the norm.

This is an amazing course, just a short drive from Charlotte. Course is always in great shape. The price can't be beat. Staff are always friendly. If we lived closer, we'd play even more. Highly recommend!

We have played courses all over NC and always thought Old Sycamore was a prestigious course.. it was a bit of a let-down to play here. It began with a starter that didn't seem to know what course he was on. He told us the flags were the typical red, white or blue. In reality, they were all burgandy. We assumed the smaller yellow flags underneath this showed the pin position, but we never could figure it out. Pace of play was pretty rough. They have a sign on the carts about warnings and possibly being asked to leave for slow pace of play, but nothing changed. The tee boxes and fairways were decent, on this challenging course, but the greens were pretty rough. Dead patches everywhere and rough/dug up spots throughout. The price was great for a Friday afternoon, but we gave better places to play.

We have played this course quite a few times. It's only about a half hour from our house, is reasonably priced and is challenging. With it getting dark after 8 now, we were excited to get in 18 holes on a weekday. When we checked in at the pro shop, we started to inquire about being able to play 18 and were cut off, quite rudely, by the person working there.

We have never had any issues with the staff before, so this was a bit of a shock. We played our 9 holes and finished at 5, leaving plenty of time to play 9 more, but it wasn't permitted. Every place we have been to allows you to pay for 18, if you start before 4. If you don't finish, they made their money. Guess the country club wasn't interested in making a bigger sale.

We found this course on Golf Now while searches for places to play in the Greensboro area. To say that we were blown away by our experience would be an understatement. This course was gorgeous, had plenty of amenities for anyone who comes to the country club (member or now) and was the best price we have ever seen for a PGA-level course. The staff was so friendly and everything was top-notch. We couldn't believe that we were able to play at such. great course for only $40, on the weekend. We cannot wait to come back and will gladly drive the 2 hours to get here, based on our first experience.

We got an amazing Hot Deal to play 18 holes. Though the weather was intermittent with rain, the conditions on the course were great. Staff is always super friendly and there are tons of snack and drink options in the pro shop. Only compliant was the group of 5 holding up the rest of the people at the course. This is a must-play course for the money.

We always find great deals at this course. The course is challenging but great for all levels. Staff are always attentive and course is well maintained, minus some wet spots at some of the low-lying areas. Course tends to be full, especially on the weekends, but pace of play is always good (around 3 and a half hours for 2 people).

We had just spent the week golfing in Hilton Head, so we decided to check out this course on the way back up to NC. They had an amazing deal on GolfNow and we were pretty pleased with the reviews we saw.

Positives: Beautiful and well-maintaned course, no real rough to speak of, wide fairways, on-site restaurant with plenty of options

Negatives: Different rates for locals, tee time changed from what was booked to have 7 people teeing off at about the same time, slow rate of play, unfriendly staff (Not course-related: Confusing signage to get into the course. Shows arrow to continue straight, but takes you to a dead-end road.)

While we did enjoy playing the course, there was simply too much waiting around to hit. With the number personal golf carts we saw on the course, it seems locals have priority and can bump other players that already had tee times.

We normally play on HHI, but we found this gem the last time we came down for vacation. Well-maintaned course with beautiful views of the marshland. Great for all skill levels. Great price, too, especially compared to other nearby courses. Only downside is that the restaurant isn't currently open, due to Covid-19, but they have drinks and sandwiches to purchase in the pro shop

This place is gorgeous! Clubhouse is top-notch. Beautiful interiors and wrap-around patio. Full-service restaurant with great daily specials. We usually play during the week and are surprised by the amazing prices and fairly empty course.

Holes 1 and 2 are fairly tough, and can be a bit deflating for the less experienced golfer, but things definitely pick up after that. Wide open fairways with challenging pin placements. The greens are a bit bumpy right now, after being aerated recently, but you just need to adjust a bit.

We played the course in a little over 3 hours, this time, but it could get a bit slower on a weekend. We've seen people complain about pace of play. We see a lot of people playing multiple balls off the tee and/or in the fairway. If you play regular, pace of play shouldn't be an issue.
