Greens were in very poor shape. It doesn't appear the clientele cares much about improving their ball divots, but the course management should address this at least each day by giving them a review, Also surprised to see so many brown-out patches throughout the course. Lastly, course of play was awful. A foursome ahead of us seemed more interested in talking on cell phones than keeping a good pace. There were 4 holes wide open ahead of them when we rounded the 14th green.

Course was in great shape despite the relative lack of rain lately. Host staff are always friendly and they do a great job of getting people off at the right time. As a twosome we were behind a group of 4 and a threesome was behind us. The pace of play was excellent. I like that they didn't force another twosome with us as it was a daddy/daughter teaching day. At the turn, we grabbed their hotdog, chip and beverage special and the service was super-fast allowing everyone to continue play without a backlog. The course is super challenging in its length, with the 9th hole playing over 605 yards. It is a monster. The Par 3s in the front are short, while the back Par3s are quite a bit longer. They are beautiful AND tough.

The course is improving over prior years, however, there is still a bit too much weed growth to call the course beautiful. Simple fertilizer with weed killer would really help. Dead ash trees have been removed so the course looks much, much better than last year. Fairways are in pretty good shape, as are the greens. The course (gold or blue) plays well and fellow golfers are always friendly. Snack shops around the turns are now open (hurray!) and there has been a snack cart out each time we have been there. This is helpful and always worthy of a good tip. We were scheduled for the Blue course, but 5 foursomes of high school boys walking were ahead of us. (Agh!) As we approached the tee area, their coach asked us why we were there and told us we would be very slow. Quite odd. We returned to the starter, who allowed us to move to the Gold course where we had a good pace of play. The course is hooked into YamaTrack, but be sure your iphone is fully charged as the carts do not have chargers.

Office folks are really friendly and run a tight ship which generally keeps play moving. As with any course, when twosomes get forced together by the golf course, play can dramatically slow. I always think it helps play to have a twosome intermixed among the foursomes at a 1 to 4 ratio, especially if that is how the customers picked their times. That ratio really helps the course move on busy days. There are not a lot of "freebies" on this course... you have to hit long and straight in order to obtain a good score on this challenging course. Despite its immense size, course is very well maintained.
