Played the course on Jan 24th. Beautiful views, great layout and wicked fast undulating greens. Pins were a bit out of this world on at least 5 holes.

Unfortunately, my experience and enjoyment was totally ruined by one of the three playing partners that I was set up with.. This older man was so grumpy, and way too serious about golf since he was about a 30 handicap. He was rude, never spoke with me, raced on ahead of the rest of us, played out of turn, etc, etc. It appeared that his wife and daughter were kind of afraid of him. In addition, all three of them marked every put, and it took us over 4 and a half hours to play with no one in front of us.

Sorry for venting, but this proves that a great course can be ruined by bad people. I just wanted to get off the course after about 10 holes.

First time at Quail Hollow. Thoroughly enjoyed the day. Layout from white tees was fair, with good challenge and eye interest. Greens were in excellent condition.

Course completely brown with very little grass. Green were like pavement. Back nine in the quarry was soaking wet. Balls were plugging on every shot. Not a very good course in bad condition.

First round since coming down from Ontario Canada. Temp in the low 50's, but still pleasant with no wind. Fairly simple course without too much difficulty other than some water.

Would play here again.
