I have played this golf course periodically for the past 20 years, and besides always being in pretty good to great shape, the one thing that always remains the same is the great staff. They are extremely friendly and go out of their way to give you a great golf experience. When me and my friends played today, Rodney (one of the rangers) even drove our sandwiches out to us so we could keep pace of play after the turn. He also checked in on us every several holes and allowed leniency on cart rules for my friend who has a hard time getting around. Would strongly recommend this course for any avid to experienced golfer. Open enough for mistakes from time to time, but also has some good target shot holes.

Hadn't played the course in awhile so was excited to do so, but one staff member ruined it. We had kept up with the group in front of us (sometimes held up) until about the 8th hole, when they suddenly disappeared. A ranger approached shortly after to advise that we were 2 holes behind (even though we were on pace for a 4 hour round), and asked if we could catch up. After agreeing to do so, we were approached by a young man in a cart on the green of the same hole. I explained that we were just told about being behind and were going to move quicker, but he felt the need to tell us again to catch up and made suggestions how to do so in a condescending tone. Several hole later we were right behind the group gain which tells me they skipped a few holes. We ended up finishing in just over 4 hours so we were obviously playing at a good pace. I felt it incredibly unprofessional to be asked so rudely to pick it up twice in the same hole (which didn't even give us a chance to do so), especially when we finished in 4 hours. Will not be playing there again anytime soon.
