We just finished playing one of the finest city courses in the Indiana/Illinois market. Drove an hour to play and was absolutely amazed at the layout and condition of the course/greens/bunkers. Don't let the gravel parking lot and old pro shop fool you this is a real gem!!
We played for $15 thru GN and will def be back soon.
Only negative was the course wasn't marked real well (could use stakes in fairway) and all the flags were the same color (would be nice to use red/white/blue to mark hole depth locations)--- but very minor issues.
I wish this was my home course -- day in and day out.
I can't believe I've never played before, but will again-- many times!!

Played on Friday morning and it was packed and very congested. Everyone seemed in a hurry-- a ranger should would be nice to see during the busy times. Other than that it was an enjoyable day at a nice course with some difficult holes.
The greens were really marked up but that's probably do to all the play the course gets.
For the GN discounted rate you can't beat it.

I hadn't played IronHorse in 5+ years & forgot how nice it is!!
We have played 2 times in a week and really love the layout, big and true rolling greens and scoreabilty of the course. I really like the diversity of the holes-- you don't just pull out a driver on all the par 4/5's-- it makes you think.
Great course to post a good round on.
Only (and I mean only) drawback were the bunkers- they definitely need attention; plenty of sand in them but also weeds & grass.
Clubhouse guy isn't overly friendly but for $21 on GN it's a steal and well worth the hour drive!!
We will be back--probably next weekend.

Best course within 70 miles of Terre Haute!! Well worth the drive and the price-- I would def recommend. Numerous tees for different handicaps/skill level.
Greens are perfect. You can tell they take great pride in their facility. I will be back again soon....
