I like a course that provides a variety of twists and turns, carries and angles. A very fun layout. Conditions were good. Greens were smooth but maybe just a little bit slow, depending on your preference. Fairways are watered just enough to be firm yet thick. Staff was friendly. Pace was acceptable, given how busy it was.

A Pete Dye design with many of his trademark features. The greens are elevated; many highly so, and good putting is a must.

Las Sendas is a beautiful, expansive course that was designed for better players. To really enjoy your round you must remember that it plays much longer than the yardage, by as much as 400+ yds. If your ego won't allow you to adjust your tee, then prepare for an a-- whoopin' . Conditions are excellent, the greens are quick and true.

The Positives: Good layout. Carts performed well.
The Negatives: The staff was surprisingly inattentive. No one offered to take my bag until I walked it right up to the window. Within 10 minutes my towel hanging from the handle of my bag was gone. Upon completion of the round no one came to clean the clubs and earn a tip.

The areas that were not over seeded were simply hard pan, almost bare. The greens were average---not very fast but reasonably smooth.

Course conditions are better under new ownership. Staff really makes an effort to accommodate.

I generally have avoided this course but thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did. The conditions are noticeably better than in past years. Fees are still higher than justified, but hot deal specials and promotional opps make it a more palatable option. A friendly layout for warmup rounds.
