This course is a 40 minute drive from old town Santa Fe but we’ll worth the trip. The entire staff from the Pro Shop to groundskeepers, to the restaurant were very nice and friendly. I played this course on the recommendation of a friend who had played it 2 weeks ago. The fairways and greens are in great shape, some of the back 9 tee boxes need some work but they are still playable. The rough is long and thick so it is a challenge to find your ball and then to hit out of it. The layout is fun with some elevation changes. I will be playing this course again.

I was looking for a place to play as my course was closed for a tournament. Brenham CC had good reviews so I booked a tee time. The Pro Shop staff were friendly and very helpful showing me where everything was. The course was well laid out and presented some challenges, especially the downhill 198 yard par 4. The fairways were well maintained with not much rough. Be forewarned that if you get past the rough you are in native gras area and once you find your ball you will have a challenging shot. The greens were in great shape and putted true. They were a little slower than what I am use to. I played as a single behind several twosomes but still finished in 3hr 20 min, so excellent pace of play.

Overall this is a good value for your money and an enjoyable layout.

This course is well laid out with great elevation changes. If you have played in the mountains then this course will feel familiar. The fairways were in excellent conditions and the greens were fast and rolling true.
The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely play this course again and recommend it to friends.

This is a beautiful course in great condition. The layout is challenging but fun. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I have played this before and will definitely be back the next time I am in the Phoenix area.

The course is a good value for the money. Rarely do you have a lost ball unless it is in the water. Some of the greens still need some work but overall they out true if a little slow.

We were behind a foursome that hd no one in front of them. Our round was 4h35m. Each tee box we had 2-3 groups stacked up waiting on the foursome. They were playing the white tees but probably should have played the red tees. They did no play ready golf and definitely took their time looking for their balls. There was a cart with the word Ranger on the front being driven by a staff member but he did not appear to say anything to the slow group.

Especially on a Sunday there needs to be a course marshal to deal with this type of group.

This course has recently undergone a change of management and a $2M renovation. The course in great condition overall. The greens were rolling true. The fairways were good overall with a very rough spots that still need some work.
Overall this is a surprisingly tight challenging hill country course. Several holes off good risk reward drives or second shots. The views of the surrounding area are very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. After the round be sure to try their smash burger.

I have played this course many times in the past when it was owned by Marriott. It is now owned by Timbres Resort. The fairways were more brown than green. The front 9 had mowed grass on the fairways and rough. The mowed dead grass was very thick and difficult to play out of. Moving the ball was not always an option as the mowed dead grass covered the entire width of the fairway in some cases. The greens on the front 9 had been recently arrested and sanded so they did not put true. The snack shack attendant was niceness but had difficulty in understanding english. The main restaurant is closed so no after round meal. In the past this use to be a beautiful lush course. Not any more.

This is a great Jack Nicholas course. There were some risk rewards holes and as always Nicholas gives you a bailout area around the greens. This course is layout into the woods so no houses or other buildings. The course was wet from recent rains so not much roll out. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was paired with two members which is always helpful. These two men were friendly and helpful with course knowledge. I would definitely play here again.

The course was in excellent condition. It is set in a natural area with no houses. The course was playing true and the greens were fast. The staff was friendly as always. This is a must play if you stay at Coushatta.

From the pictured on the website this use to be a nice course. However now it is in poor condition. The fairways have weeds and bald spots. The greens also have weeds bare spots and are extremely slow.
The entire course has the look of a facility that has not had enough money to properly maintain the course.

Beautiful seaside links course with surprising elevation changes. There are many 20-30 foot elevated tee boxes. Very walkable course. The staff and members were very friendly and concerned that I enjoy my round. The wind picked up on the back nine which made the holes almond the beach chalenging with cross winds.
Bring a camera as many of the tee boxes have great views of the sea or mountains.

This course presents a good challenge for all levels. Lots of elevation changes and multi-tiered greens.
The course is beatiful with deer and other wildlife in abundance.

The elevation changes and deep rough made this course fun but challenging. The yardage book is set up as a free App that you can download to your smart phone.

The course was in excellent condition. I had a great time playing and will definitely play this course again.
