Jefferson Golf Course
Played On 08/02/2014Open Fairways, Fast Greens
The course was very well kept up, everything was maintained and green and looked great.
The fairways are pretty wide open, not too many trees, few sand traps and very little water hazards.
The greens were very very fast, even when there was still dew on the ground, the ball would just zip around. It was very difficult to stick anything, always had to just lightly tap.
Overall the course was great, the open fairways was nice to be able to try and gain a little more distance, and the tough greens still kept it challenging for pitches, chips, and putts.
The new clubhouse that's being built looks great. Once the construction is finished, and there is an easier flow from hole to hole, it will be even better.
Nice course.
The course was maintained rather well for being late sept. The fairways could use a roll, they are a bit bumpy. The pace of play was overall pretty good. A few other golfers spent 10-15 minutes looking for their ball each hole, once we got past them, there weren't any issues, and since we were still not over the pace of play limit, there wasn't too much to complain about. The fairways are narrow, so that adds quite a bit of challenge, go off a bit, and you get to hit through plenty of trees. There is not alot of slope, pretty flat overall. The sand traps were getting a bit caked from the late season, but still playable.
