Pine Barrens at World Woods Golf Club
Played On 06/18/2018Rain or Shine
Frequent flyer at this course - Love everything about it. This trip, the greens recently underwent aerification, but are healing nicely and the greens are rolling moderately fast. Only suggestion - sunscreen and rain gear seem to be a must during your 18 holes.
Pine Barrens at World Woods Golf Club
Played On 05/17/2018Always A Great Place To Play!
The course was in great condition, though some holes were cart path only due to the frequent amount of rain. It's an enjoyable course for intermediate - advanced golfers, but may be overwhelming to those just starting out. Staff has always been accommodating and friendly, as they seem to genuinely enjoy working there. The driving range is great, and there is a large putting green. The only downside is their clubhouse could use a spruce of remodeling, but their food and drink selections are up to par. Great time whether you play well or not. It's worth a 90minute commute as well.
Hernando Oaks Golf & Country Club
Played On 01/06/2017I've been playing Hernando Oaks for years. This course ranges in conditions throughout the year, but it's in good shape at the moment (it was in excellent shape a few weeks ago). The layout of the course is spread out, rarely making you feel like you're sharing the same fairway with other golfers on a separate hole. I'd certainly recommend this course to anyone looking to have a moderately challenging round.
Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club - North Course
Played On 12/28/2016I absolutely love this course. The first time I played the North Course, I was really surprised to see that there was no turn - hole #9 goes straight to hole #10 - leaving you in the middle of your round far away from the club house. I wish the pro-shop would have notified us of that since we were waiting to eat. Other than that, the greens were in excellent condition and the scenery was gorgeous. The amenities are very nice as well. Free range balls, nice driving range, and a large putting area. This course provides various challenges to any type of golfer, and one I'd certainly recommend to anyone.
Wentworth Golf Club
Played On 12/12/2016Wentworth is a great course to play, especially when you want to test your aiming ability. The course is fairly narrow on most holes, but not narrow enough to make the challenges not enjoyable. The greens were in good condition - moderately fast. I'm not a fan of their driving range as you hit off mats, nor am I a big fan of the course layout on a few holes. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to test their golf ability though.
Rolling Oaks at World Woods Golf Club
Played On 12/05/2016Love this course! The 360* driving range is huge, along with the putting green. The course itself was in amazing shape, from the tee boxes to the fast greens. The course has a great layout, providing multiple challenges each hole and great scenery. I'd recommend this course to any average+ golfer.
Brooksville Country Club
Played On 12/01/2016This course is a fairly good course to play. Condition of the course is average - tee boxes were in average condition, fairways were a little less appealing, but the greens were a little above average with their condition and speed. The front 9 is somewhat boring to anyone above an immediate beginner, providing few challenges and a lack of scenery. The back 9 is a different story. The quarry holes on the back 9 provide unique challenges and great views. If it were not for the back 9, I would be hesitant to recommend this course. Overall, fun course to get out on and play.
