Peninsula Lakes Golf Club - Hillside
Played On 06/09/2018typical resort course
Good resort course. Not difficult at all. played from the tips without hitting the driver once. very good conditions all around. because many non regular golfers play, pace is very slow. Didn't see a ranger once. No course lay out or slope/par ratings. Couple of blind shots could confuse the first time player, especially if not a regular golfer
Longbow Golf Club
Played On 01/15/2017nice track.and good value for the money.
I liked the layout, which appears innocuous, but deceptively clallenging. Back tees are rated probably easier. Undulating and fast greens were in very good condition, compared to the couple of high end and much pricier courses I played last couple of days. Bunkers were compacted and heavy perhaps due to the rain. Clubhouse and other amenities are minimalistic, but functional.
The course is not crowded with houses and scenic in a different way. The nearby airfield and the low flying planes could be distractive, but it didn't bother me. I will play this course again....hopefully in sunny conditions.
Monument at Troon North Golf Club
Played On 01/13/2017Good course layout and nice scenery
The course conditions weren't the best. Pockmarked and slow greens with inconsistent speeds. Excellent layout and the clubhouse. Restaurant is very good. Golf Staff attitude must improve if they want customers to return. Overall, these weren't $200+ courses. I expected better experience overall
Hunters Pointe Golf Course
Played On 08/10/2016Excellent course
Loved playing it even though it was an extremely hot day and the pace of play was poor. Tough course, but one can be very creative with shots, especially off the tees. Nice and challenging greens. A true links design. Highly recommend the course to all levels of players. Blues may be brutal on a highly windy day, but not bad when there is no strong wind. Wish they would be not organized with the tee sheets. There were so many twosomes which made the pace slower. Starter was very friendlly and efficient, so were the pro shop staff, cart girl, and the restaurant staff. Will play again for sure.
Twenty Valley Golf and Country Club
Played On 08/08/2016Great value for the money
Very interesting layout overall with some challenging holes. The greens were VERY fast, but rolled perfectly. Fairways were brown and hard pan due to the prevailing drought. But the greens were in great shape.
