Below Average - Not for serious golfers

Honestly not worth playing. Oriole is a below average course that lacks personality or challenge. Course is very short from the tips and most of the holes allow you to spray the ball off the tee. Greens were actually in good shape which was a pleasant surprise but the rest of the course was in below average condition. Guys in the pro shop were also not very friendly. Will not be back.

Greens are in bad shape.

Greens are in rough shape. Not sure what happened but big portions of a lot of the greens are pretty far gone. Sad to see as both courses were once two of the top tracks in the state.

Good Shape - TERRIBLE Pace of Play

Course is in good shape. However, be prepared for the following: stacked tee sheet with times every 7 minutes; a wide open course with little personality; hacks as far as the eye can see; people shanking balls onto your fairway and tee box (had many close calls out here, luckily average ball speed is well below 60 mph for the hacks out here so a direct shot to the head probably wouldnt be too bad); 30+ handicappers (being generous) playing shots from adjacent fairways as they ineffectively try to get their ball back onto the correct hole; donkeys waiting for green to clear from 250 our when they only hit their drive 205; not a ranger in site. Enjoy!

Terribly Slow: A Paradise for HACKS

I've played this course 5 times now and have told myself each time that Ill never go back. Well here I am, I gave in again because we couldn't find a decent time anywhere else.... I swear this was last time! Course has always been in average to below average condition. Greens could be fun if they ever got them in good shape but ive never seen them rolling. Course condition and layout aren't why I continue to curse this place. This place attracts the slowest and absolute worst golfers I've ever seen in the state. It has taken 5+ hours per round every single time we have played. I'll mention the course is only a par 70. Maybe its the abundance of water and hazards but 5 hours for a round of golf should be illegal. Also don't think I've witnessed anyone playing this course who could break 120. This past week, the twosome we were paired with got angry because we didn't want to play the forward tees at 5000 yards with them. I told them they could tee it forward if they were little meat hitters but then they got angry and acted like I was forcing them to play from tees that were too long. Probably goes without saying but they couldn't even carry the water on 1 from the back tees. After seeing that we could actually hit the ball in the air, the dude proceeded to tell us that he got paired with the wrong group - they were legitimately amazed that someone would play out there that could hit the ball. If youre a bad golfer, this course if for you. If you can actually play, stay far away.

Excellent shape. Beware of HACKS.

Course is in excellent shape. However if youre a good golfer I would caution that if you show up without a foursome you're likely to get paired with a hack. Some of the worst golfers ive ever seen in my life play out here. Never understand why hacks like nice courses.

Great shape. Lots of hacks.

Course is in great shape. However if you're rolling up with less than a foursome do so at your own risk. This course gets some absolute HACKS. We were paired with two of the worst golfers I've ever seen in my life. We felt pressure to tee it forward with the hacks to keep us all playing from the same tees and keep a decent pace. However from the blue tees, this course layout if a complete joke. On some of the par 4s, you literally can't hit a full driver or you will fly the green. The par 5s are a bunt driver and knock down short iron. Can't wait to go back and actually play from the real tees and experience the course from a respectable yardage.

Good Course

Course is always in good shape. Challenging from the back tees - a few of the holes are really short if you're teeing it forward. Greens are usually fast and dry. However during the last round, greens were a bit slower than normal as it appeared they recently had a lot of rain - a few of the bunkers had standing water.

Course is over priced for the summer but I think they are trying to makeup for lost revenue due to COVID closures. Better values out there but worth playing if the price is right.
