Eagles Pride Golf Course - Blue/Green
Played On 08/02/2023Great Dayn of Golf
Last played three years ago. Course is in excellent condition. Sand is compact but playable. Greens are well kept and putt true. Lots of course improvements. I didn't see any water stations, so bring plenty of bottled water.
Eagles Pride Golf Course - Blue/Green
Played On 10/16/2018No Notice of High School Tournament
I am a long time player of Eagles Pride. I enjoy the course. However, I don't like showing up and discovering a high school tournament is scheduled after I have already paid for the round. Reluctantly, we played the Green/Red rotation and ended up taking 5 1/2 hours to play. Eagles Pride could provide more information to Golf Now regarding such events and also when they will require use of the less desirable Green course.
The Golf Club at Hawks Prairie - The Woodlands
Played On 07/23/2018Very Dry Fairways
The Woods has limited watering on their fairways which results in brown fairways. Best to play lift and place to compensate for the rough fairways. The greens are in tip-top shape.
Eagles Pride Golf Course - Blue/Green
Played On 03/29/2018New Changes to Course are Terrific
This is the first time I have played Eagles Pride since they made changes to the Blue Course. What an upgrade to the course. The new par three is within distance of my clubs and my wife's. The sand bunkers were perfect. The next hole was well laid out as well. This definitely speeds up play. And finally, on hole 17, the course management finally cut down those pesky trees sitting on the corner which always prevented me from aiming for the green. The course has spent some real cash for great improvements.
Highlands at Dove Mountain
Played On 10/23/2016Great Course
First time on the course. Great price for a Sunday. Cart path only in heat was demanding but not impossible. Fairways and greens were well watered. Fairways in excellent shape. Greens were slow due to length of grass. Not sure why they were not cut. Only reason not 5-star. Staff very helpful and friendly. Ask them what tee to play from for a more enjoyable outing.
South/East at Newaukum Valley Golf Course
Played On 07/20/2016Greens run very challenging but true
Played the west course for the first time and really liked the two extra par threes. I am not a long hitter off the tee, so the par 3's are within my range. Greens are set up so you need to know where to land the ball to prevent a twisting putt. Plenty of water is reaching this course so the greens are in really good shape.
The Olympic at Gold Mountain Golf Course
Played On 06/08/2016Six Hour Round During Middle of Week!
We had a 1:27pm tee time with a great GolfNow price which made the 1 hour drive from Lacey worth the trip. Were started on the 10th hole with three other groups stacked up that belonged to a men's club. No starter to control flow. Men's club had at least 8 foursomes in front of us. When asked what their tee time was, they had no clue. There was a three group stack-up at each par 3. Men's group were playing in a league so every putt was marked, remarked, and rechecked causing agonizing delays. No marshal on the course to speed things along. Why didn't the pro shop put non-men's club players on the first tee? The course itself was in great shape. Fairways were green and lush. Tee boxes were level even for the women's tees. Green were in excellent condition but very fast and unnecessarily mounded with high spots and low troughs making every green a potential three put or more disaster. If you want the PGA experience of missing a putt from 2 feet away because of speed and slope, this is your course.
The Cascade at Gold Mountain Golf Course
Played On 05/12/2016Excellent maintained course
This is a very well maintained golf complex. Practice facilities are top of the line. Snack bar right next to the driving range. Greens were is prime condition. Returning in 4 days to score better now that I have seen the course.
del Lago Golf Club
Played On 11/9/2012Interesting and challenging course.
First time on the course. Silver tees provided a good compromise between distance and accuracy. The tan tees were perfect for my wife's game.
Thanks Gordon for visiting The Highlands at Dove Mountain. We are glad you had a great time. The reason our greens were a little slow during that time of year was because we had just reseeding the greens with rye grass. It is young and needed to be healthy before we cut it down and stress it out. Greens are much better now and look forward to having you back again. Thanks again for the nice review.
