Capitol City Golf Club
Played On 05/27/2015Great walking course
Unfortunately we were booked behind a tournament which is something that you cannot know about when booking on GN...our round went over 5 hours. That was the only negative about the outing as the greens were in excellent condition as was most of the course.
Cedarcrest Golf Course
Played On 07/26/2014Amazing conditions for mid summer
My entire foursome enjoyed this course so much that we are planning to make it our Northend home course! The greens were fast and true, the fairways were surprisingly green for mid-July and the staff was very friendly throughout the day.
Elk Run Golf Club
Played On 07/21/2014Interesting design with many different looks.
This is a challenging course with many different looks and lies due to the undulations. Distances can be deceiving to the eye so yardage markers are truly important. I usually prefer to walk when I play but this course all but demands a motor cart, especially when reaching the hills leading up to 17 and 18...
Twin Rivers Golf Course
Played On 07/04/2014Treated poorly by head pro Curt Rodewig
Having played this course several times through Golf Now I have come to expect the cordial treatment befitting a "regular" player. In the past I have enjoyed the friendliness of the staff, from the check in to the restaurant after playing. My recent experience left me feeling disrespected and very disappointed. So much so in fact that after play I went to the pro shop to express my displeasure. Unfortunately the head pro who checked us in was off shift so I explained my displeasure with another staff member, who was very pleasant and willing to hear my thoughts. It was explained to me that since the course "doesn't really make any money through the Golf Now program, that may have been why I was treated as a second class citizen by the pro." I was dumbfounded by his statement, because I had believed in the idea that this program would be a win-win deal for all involved. I assured him that I would no longer be a financial drain to them as I would no longer play this course.
Cedars at High Cedars Golf Club
Played On 10/19/2013In good shape for wet weather
The clubhouse staff was very friendly and helpful...I wish I could say the same for the restaurant/bar staff. They seem to have different outlooks on what constitutes service...
Foster Golf Links
Played On 10/14/2013Great iron play course
Even though the greens had just been punched and sanded we had a good outing. The course was in remarkably good shape considering the amount of rain in the previous days.
Allenmore Golf Course
Played On 9/7/2013Although the course is well maintained current construction on the first tee has you hitting from a mat.
Well maintained but generally uninteresting course. Repetitious in design and layout, but still good value for the money.
Twin Rivers Golf Course
Played On 7/20/2013Good for taking your kids or beginners out
The course needs attention...it was a nice enough afternoon outing for the price. The staff was very cordial but the young lady on the beverage cart stated she would be out on the course but was not to be seen on the back nine.
North Shore Golf Club
Played On 7/5/2013The course crew could have been more considerate in their mowing while we were playing.
Although we enjoyed the course conditions and understand what it takes to keep them up it would have been nice if the mowers had been more thoughtful about when to shut down. Perhaps keeping a bit more distance from us while preparing for a shot would have been kinder as well. I know they have their work to do but I did spend money to enjoy my time on the course, not to feel like I was an annoyance to the grounds crew.
