Positive Experience

Enjoyed playing Tatum Ridge! Friendly staff; greeted by a cart in parking lot to take clubs to clubhouse. I booked on line easily - best prices at last minute. All the courses are overcharging at this time of year. While the course is a pleasant one to play, I would not pay the full price. It’s a fine course; love the greens, nice putting speed. Some challenging holes wrap around ponds. Sand traps need fluffed better. Fairways are fine but not great. Tee boxes are average but probably due to high amount of play. I would play again with discounted price. Spencer, the gentleman who is the starter is very helpful. What I liked the most was the random foursome that I was placed. We enjoyed the day. And that’s what really made playing Tatum Ridge enjoyable the most!

Fun Course to Play

First, ALL the staff were exceptionally nice in greetings and assistance - professional, friendly approach. The course was fun to play. The greens were groomed well. The area had rain all day the previous day so approach shots to the green stuck on impact with little to no roll out. It’s so quiet and pleasant playing in a nature preserve setting and the wildlife is fun to observe. While I got a hot deal on GolfNow, I think the course is overpriced. But, that’s the way it is in places like Florida. The one item that helps offset the higher cost is the driving range is comped. Water and ice at the clubhouse comped, too. The carts have GPS screens and speakers to hook up to via cable. I will play again if I can get another hot deal with GolfNow. Thanks!

Father’s Day Round

In fairness, the pace of play was affected by heavy play due to Father's Day. The course was well groomed. The greens were fair, not slick. The rough may be a bit too high. Overall, a nice course to play a round. Challenging on a couple holes because of topography but several holes allow for scoring opportunities. I would recommend playing. We didn’t use any of the off course amenities. The starter was very nice.

Overall, recommend

Starter very friendly and kept groups in order and moving. Once on course, play was very slow - waited at every tee box. Perhaps course needs a Ranger to keep people on pace. 5 hour rounds is too long.

Course was ok, tee boxes were nice, fairways ok, greens didn’t hold approach shots, but were nice overall. I would play again.(I’m an 18 handicap).

Nets only for “free” range balls plus a chipping and putting area.

Interacted with two staff - Pro Shop gentlemen running the register and the gentleman who was the starter - both very nice, pleasant, and helpful.

Course is player friendly, greens are forgiving. Nice sand traps.

Enjoyed playing the course - hope to return.

Nice Course

Staff very friendly; COVID protections in place and visible - well done! Greens are rough due to aeration but fairways nicely cut, rough a bit thick, but appears to have handled recent heavy rains very well. Some challenging holes and several good scoring holes. Will return when greens are finished. Beautiful views throughout. First time I’ve played there. Overall, very nice!

Beautiful day met with some disappointment

We got a great deal on GolfNow. It was a gorgeous day. When we arrived we were told to play the front nine twice due to the back undergoing aerating. That was disappointing to hear as there was no notice prior to booking at this course.

The front nine was nice. It is a good course to play.

Fast and Slick

Course in great shape overall with as dry as August was this summer. Fairways benefited from recents rains but there were several sloppy, swampy areas on and around fairways. Provides challenges on many holes, but as is well known in the golf community, the greens are always fast along with being slick. For the average golfer, these conditions can be frustrating causing scoring to be higher than usual. Two or three good shots to par 4's & 5's are often penalized by roll outs/offs of the fast greens.

There are several beautiful holes that make an occasional trip there worthwhile. Some beautiful views at different points. Holes 14, 15, & 16, all par fours may be the toughest 3 back to back holes in area. But fun to see if you can meet the challenge as long as the pin on 15 is in the back!

Clubhouse and restroom facilities showing age. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

Thank you for the review. The greens are quick, but are also fair and we apologize if you didn't feel that way. You hit the nail right on the head, though when it comes to the 'Bermuda Triangle' it can sure show its teeth!

Average golfer thoughts on Pebble Creek

The staff at check-in was very nice. The course and clubhouse is showing its age and possibly low end upkeep. The fairways and greens were manicured and green. Ball cleaners on each hole and good signage. It would be most helpful if 200, 150, 100 markers were on fairways. Some faded paint does exist on cart paths but not easily viewed. The electric golf carts had good power.

We are average, bogey/double bogey golfers - this course provided driving challenges due to how tight the fairways are with woods, creek/water beds.

We played on a Saturday. Was surprised to see that the greens were saturated with water, most cups on holes were filled with water and noticeable on run of ball when putting. Very little rain in last few weeks so it appears that greens were over watered. We played in afternoon so not sure what it was like in morning - worse?

Play was slow, especially a couple foresomes that spent a lot of time on the green. Our front nine took almost 2 1/2 hours but they were nice, let us pass on back nine, played just under two hours. Again we are not great golfers and we spent our share amount of time looking for balls when we missed the fairways. We finally put our drivers away and used low irons to fit tightness of holes. Approaches to greens are ok, no issues. Par 3's provided some nice challenges with distance and pin placement - fun to play.

Not sure I would go back to play again or recommend. For a majority of the holes it isn't hit friendly from the tee box for a golfer who isn't always a straight hitter.

But, for local golfers, this is a friendly, average public course to play a round of golf. Frustrating for beginners and a bit challenging to those who don't always hit straight, perfect drives. Greens provide positive challenges for all levels.

Afternoon price for Nine

Excellent value for nine holes in afternoon. Challenging course, well manicured. For as much rain as we have had, course looked great. Played yellow tees / glad to have a distance that matches current level of play.
