Played On 10/03/2023No aeration alert
No aeration alert listed on TeeOff. Also, back 9 was completely closed so we played front nine twice. Very sandy,
Normally a nice course to play
Corica Park - South Course

The course was in very good shape. No greens appeared to have unrepaired ball marks. The greens are large and most are undulating so practice your ball speed before heading out. Also, the aprons areas are trimmed much wider than other local courses and can easily putt rather than chip from tight lies. Marshals were friendly and appeared frequently, though they could have asked slower groups to let us play through.
At times it was difficult to determine where the greens were. My Garmin was not any help determining where there was standing water. I lost two balls in water collection areas that were not marked.

This course was in pretty good shape and drains better than most in the Bay Area, but expect cart path only if you don't plan to walk. A few other courses had rain/flood closures the day I played here. Stay right on the two par 5's, #9, and #16 and you can save yourself a lot of walking thru wet turf. Most traps had standing water, enough where you can lose your ball if the water is murky as I did in a bunker on #10. Other than that, the only standing water was just in front of #2 green. Greens were in good shape except for the numerous unrepaired ballmarks on mostly par 3's. Pace of play was great, taking less than 3 12 hours!

Played On 07/14/2022Our twosome completed our round in just under 4 hours. It was about 100 degrees with a little breeze. There were several water stations in addition we brought our own. The fairways were well kept with few unrepaired divots. The only negative was a couple of greens need bare spots repaired or reseeded. This course is about two hours from home but I enjoy playing it a couple of times a year.

Dry Creek Ranch Golf Course
Played On 07/16/2020The course has changed a bit since I played last year. Several bunkers are now depressions with rough length grass Where there was 'sand' it was more like thick mud. A couple of greens had noticeable bare spots. Lots of unfixed divot marks. Fairways were in good shape. Pace of play good, under 4 hours.

I played this course a couple of years ago and it was in much better shape then. Now, the fairways are parched and in some places cracking. You get a good rollout but you are generally hitting from hard, dead grass. Maybe they are preparing to reseed with a more drought tolerant grass. The greens were in excellent shape and fast.
Manteca Park Golf Course
Played On 05/25/2017The course was in very good shape. Both the fairways and greens were well kept. My only issue with the physical condition was that the greens were a bit long but I guess that is conserving water. The pace of play was a slow for my liking taking almost 5 hours for the round. I saw only one marshal on the course and he seemed to be concentrating more on picking up debris around the tee boxes than speeding up play. Also, I noted that 4-5 holes in front of us was a 5 some who was slowing pace of play. Perhaps stronger encouragement of playing through at registration would help this group.

Course was in excellent shape for this time of year, especially the fairways which were the best I have played on in several months. Due to a back up on the first tee, the starter moved us over to the 10th tee and we were able to start right away. Kudos to him.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing Lake Chabot Golf Course - The 18 Hole Course.
