Las Colinas Golf Club
Played On 04/04/2022Disappointed
Got a Hot Deal. Haven't played here for a year because of inflated fees. I was expecting similar conditions but found the greens rough, slow and blotchy. The fairways were long overdue for cutting and a couple of fairway bunkers hadn't seen a rake for at least a week when it rained....the rivlet marks were still there. One green was noticeably smaller because the fringe had grown in and they just didn't cut the green to the original size. Aside from that, the staff was great. We got out earlier than our tee time and didn't see anyone in front or behind all afternoon.

Simple layout with little variation and lots of flat desert with fine gravel so the ball will roll out and easy to find.
The only redeeming features for this course are that it's easy, cheap and the greens have some good slopes.
Lone Tree Golf Club
Played On 11/11/2020Cart path only but still did it in 4 hours
Very good conditions and pace of play. Got a good deal $20 with cart 18 holes. Nice took a buddy who hadn't played it and he was very pleased. I shot 78, so I'm a happy golfer.
Cougar Creek Golf Club
Played On 07/02/2020Cougar after a soaking rain
Only a few spots that collected water, so overall drainage is very good. Walked the course in 3 hours 15 minutes and played through a foursome who had to keep carts on paths.
Las Colinas Golf Club
Played On 11/22/2019Good course
Expect fairly slow greens. Pace was great. Nobody in front and nobody behind 3 hours 40 minutes. Heavy rains on previous days allowed driving on rough only. No 90 degree, so pick a side and stay on it.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing Las Colinas Golf Club!
SaddleBrooke Ranch Golf Club
Played On 01/14/2019First time at Saddlebrook
I've golfed Robson Ranch (sister course) several times and could see the similarities such as parking lot (carts allowed), identical pro shop and management styles. What I didn't expect was the incredibly smooth and fast greens, extra wide fairways. It must have rained the previous days, so we had Cart Path Only. Pretty straight forward, except for the 10 hole, which is a layup drive and longish carry to get close to the green. Look on Google maps or play with someone who knows the course. You don't need a "desert 7 iron " here!
Trestle Creek Golf Resort - Jack Pine/Creekside Course
Played On 05/03/2018Spring golf
Our foursome arrived 30 minutes early and were allowed to play ahead of time. May have been the cold and windy weather, but we didn't see many groups on the course.
Greens still had aeration holes and were deceptively slow. Looks like the greens will be great in three weeks.
Great value when you can get a Hot Deal.
Mission Royale Golf Club
Played On 12/06/2017A little too soon
New management is trying to recover from previous owners neglect. So the fairways are lush but still too long. Most shots ended up muddy.
This will be awesome in a month or two when they drop the mowers.
Toka Sticks Golf Club

Played for $17 in mid-morning. No shortage of water. Very lush. Postage stamp greens so bring accuracy or good short game

Great layout. Older front nine has much better greens but expect back nine to mature. Only complaint is the sand which has no base so settle your footing in 7 inches of loose sand.
The Links Golf Club At Queen Creek
Played On 03/12/2015First and last
Had a great day to golf with friends. No bag drop so just park and carry. Friendly staff all around and course is in great shape. Orange kids flags scattered about the course is a distraction. Dangerous back-n-forth design makes this a "no return" policy for my wife. Could have been a good course, but they needed and extra 40 acres to space the holes. No SAND TRAPS.
This is an ok course but is over-priced.

A fair test from any tee but greens were less than expected.
Poston Butte Golf Club
Played On 10/18/2014Overseeding no problem
Just opened after overseed and the greens were as good as in March. Excellent ! 12 months ago the same story....must have a great greens keeper. Seems no other golf course in the area can come back like Poston Butte.
Fairways are a little long but I'll take smooth fast greens any day.
Ocotillo Golf Club - White/Gold
Played On 10/09/2014Not a true Troon experience
We played here twice last spring and the experience was great. Inspite of overseeded conditions the course played nicely. We were not impressed with the very slow play ( 5 hrs 10 minutes). We saw the marshall once and he was complaining about having to work. (don't know if it was a tongue in cheek remark).
I can afford to golf here but was really ticked to buy a small bag of peanuts for 2.75 ....the bag was marked by the Planters 2 bags for $1. Geez if you are going to gouge you could at least hide the fact. .
There were young kids ahead and their dad wasn't very attentive to teaching them etiquette and managing their progress on the course.
The half way house wasn't opened (it wasn't the other two times ) and the bar\food staff were very slow. Same thing last spring!
Overall, I'm not going back there without a thorough interrogation of the staff to find out if management has improved.
