Shadow Ridge manages to blend desert golf with the lush few of a parkland setting. The layout is beautiful and a bit challenging. It's not all about length and here are shorter par 4s that offer challenges around the green. Speaking of which, the greens were in excellent condition and running quick but were not stupid fast. This course joins Desert Willow and PGA West as one of my favorites in the area.

This course doesn’t disappoint. It can be an exacting design with challenging greens and water to navigate. I really like the setting with some beautiful views of the valley and it’s a very reasonable green fee for a high quality layout in good condition. Also, kudos to the starter who was a very friendly and accommodating man working at 06:30 on Thanksgiving - that’s commitment!

This course is an excellent and challenging design. While it’s a little rough around the edges, it’s a beautiful setting and good value. It’s blue collar in the best sense. Real people play here and he staff is friendly and accommodating.

The course is maturing and the quality of the fairways and greens was outstanding. The staff was very welcoming and pace of play, early in the morning, was perfect. The only thing preventing and excellent rating was the inconsistency of the bunker maintenance and lack of sand in some areas. The views from this part of the valley were worth the price of admission.

Booked as a single and was welcomed into a group including a member. The greens were in excellent condition and the layout was outstanding - I believe this is a Trent Jones design and was certainly challenging for a first round after several months. The staff is friendly and familiar, including the Pro Shop, the kitchen, the Marshall and the drink cart lady. With beautiful weather and no wind, this was a terrific morning and we played in just over three hours as a threesome.
