Great course, Great Views, Great Fun!

Super course in fantastic condition (especially considering this is New Hampshire where they had just had a big dump of snow only two weeks ago!)
Greens, in particular, were in great shape.

The course is somewhat challenging, especially as several water hazards need to be taken head on, and there are also some lateral hazards waiting to gobble up your ball on an errant shot. It is also tight in places, but in general, fairways are wide and fairly forgiving.

Our four-ball of mixed abilities (1 to 36) all enjoyed ourselves. We took a buggy, but on second thought we probably should have walked, as all the holes are very close together. Had the weather been a bit warmer, we would have enjoyed a beer on the beautiful deck overlooking the scenic front nine with views out toward the foothills of the White Mountains.

The Pro Shop and snack bar are well stocked and fairly priced. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

We always try to play this course when I am home visiting from England, and it never disappoints. We'll be back!

Conditions could be so much better but played GREAT!

This could really be quite a course, and I suspect at some point it was, as everything is there for a fantastic facility.
On the surface, the fairways and greens looked rough. But surprisingly, they didn't play as poor as they appeared.
We played 9 holes at twilight for $15 and had great fun. We started on the back 9, so can't comment on the rest of the course, but I was impressed with the layout and challenge on offer. Although the fairways looked patchy, I always had a good lie so it didn't effect my play. The greens also looked horrible, but they ran out pretty well, and after ten rounds of Orlando golf in the past two weeks, I can say it was the best I putted all week from all distances. So they were true at least.
I wondered how to rate the conditions in the star chart above, and finally put down average, and not poor as while they didn't look great, they actually didn't play that badly.
Yes, there was a bit of bulldozing down the one side of the 10th, but the rest of the course was in really pretty surroundings. Very natural, and at the time we played it was like having your own private golf course with some interesting holes that made a nice departure from the typical Orlando resort course.
We will be back to play again one evening if we can get the same deal.
And I would love to learn that the owners of the place have at some point restored it to what it should be.

Worth the visit...especially with the bargain rate we snagged

We had the good fortune of booking our round for $32 each. With the course in as good a shape as it was, this was real good value for money.
Overall conditions were quite good; we had played it last year and didn't remember it being in as good shape as it was at the moment.
Staff were super friendly, and it was nice to see a Ranger not only on the course, but actually doing his job. We did not wait on a single hole, which was a first for all our rounds at various Orlando golf courses this trip.
Tees were in good shape, fairways were okay...a bit patchy in places, and the greens were good; maybe a few weeds in places, but didn't seem to effect the putting.
If we have time, we will go back!

I just realized that I have left this review for the wrong golf course. I confused it with the Legends at Orange Lakes, which we also played. For the Legends G&CC itself, I wouldn't have rated it as high as I did in the review above. Whoops. =-(

Nice course but impossible to find

What could be harder than to find an 18 hole golf course at a large resort clearly off Rt 192 in Orlando. Harder than you might think so allow time to navigate your way through the expansive complex!
We asked how to get to the Reserve at the main gate house and we were directed miles away to the main Legends course. We were turned around there, and told to follow signs to the "Market Place" and "McCord Academy." No signs to the Reserve so if you just park in the big Market Place car park, you will see the bag drop there. But it took us over 20 minutes to find it, so be aware.
Once on the course, it was a bit scruffy in places. The first few greens were patchy, but the rest were all in good shape. Fast.
The course was varied and challenging for my partner who plays off 1 and played off the back tees. I played off the forward tees and enjoyed myself. Water comes into play on a few holes and I did lose a ball on the back nine in one of the ponds.
We would play this course again if time allowed and we got another hot deal on GolfNow.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. I agree on the Orange Lake complex being massive and confusing! I have brought up the question of better signs for directions within the resort. We're so glad you enjoyed the course though.
To show our appreciation, we would like to comp you a round of golf at our newly renovated course Harmony Golf Preserve in central FL. Please contact our team at ThankYou@integritygolfco.com and include where you would like the voucher mailed to so we can send you your voucher.

Great condition, but SLOW...

On the whole, we were impressed with our first visit to Providence. Practice balls weren't free or cheap, but range and facilities were nice and handy to first hole.
We had a GolfNow deal for $32 and this was certainly great value for the course we played.
Conditions were fantastic, and we were enjoying our round up until the sixth when things started to slow up. By the 7th, there were four groups on the tee and play more or less ground to a halt after that. While we were waiting, a ranger drove by, but it appeared he didn't think he could do anything about it. We heard various stories about the huge delay, but regardless of the cause, nothing happened and play never sped up until the closing holes when whomever were the offending party or parties finally left the course.
By the time we got to the 9th, the third member of our party departed, and we spent the remainder of the round sat waiting and chatting with the fourball ahead and behind us on each hole!
We would definitely go back, but only after I see other reviews reporting back that the slow play issues had been addressed.
Otherwise, a fantastic place.

Beautiful setting, friendly golf...slow greens!

We had a great time playing here. Nice practice ground with reasonably priced balls and also short game practice area. Super friendly starter.
Nice course with rolling hills and interesting holes. Very forgiving and didn't lose a ball.
Play was a bit slow. Had to wait on most holes.
Course was in great condition. Except for the greens. Nothing wrong with them that a lawn mower couldn't fix, but I don't think I've ever played on such slow greens. Did I mention they were slow? As they were, they were pretty much un-puttable.
Would like to play there again, but will need to check they have had the mowers out first...

Fantastic facility

What a facility...make sure you get there earlier than your tee time to enjoy the fantastic practice areas. Course was in amazing condition, and it is definitely one of my favourite places to play when we are in Orlando. Can't wait to go again.
The golf isn't cheap, but we got a Golf Now Hot Deal for $41 at 1:39 pm; we still got back in with plenty of day light left. The round was fast enough, but as there was a big amateur competition the next day, there were some practice rounds going on in front of us. This didn't slow down things too much until 3 or 4 holes from home where some of the players' caddies thought they were so precious that as we stood waiting on a Par 3 tee, they stayed on the green hand rolling balls down the slope to where the competition hole would be the next day! That sort of behavior continued for the next few holes. Other than that, it couldn't have been a nicer place to play.
The next time we can get a Hot Deal like that...we will be back!

Just as good the second time!

We played this and lots of other Orlando courses last winter, and this was the first one we returned to this season! Again, we were not disappointed!
Excellent tight course with challenging holes on a varied layout. Everything was in great condition including the greens which were true, but just a bit on the slow side. My partner (who plays off 1 and is extremely picky about the places we play) only wished the tee-boxes were cut a little shorter.
This is a real hidden gem and unlike the same-same feel you get at so many of the other Orlando courses, the golf feels a bit more real here. And you don't feel as if they are simply taking your money!
There is a nice practice area with putting, short game and driving area. (Someone mentioned it was hard to find or get to. Um, it is right behind the pro shop and is easily accessible) A VERY LARGE basket of balls will only set you back $4, a fraction of the price I've found at other area courses. So it really is a good place to come and spend a bit of time practicing before you set off. That's a general them in the shop...a quick look at the merchandise revealed reasonably priced and interesting clothes and other items. Staff and the locals all seem super friendly.
Finally, even with a little bit of waiting on a couple of holes, we were done and finished in just over three hours...pace of play was more than acceptable compared to what we have endured at the likes of many of the more well-known, fancy courses.
We will be back again soon!

Hidden Gem...Excellent value for money!

What a fantastic place! Super friendly staff, good practice range area with inexpensive balls, and a real interesting, challenging course in great condition. Greens a bit slow, but true and I thought the place was in great shape. We got a Golf Now deal and paid less than $18 each, but would have happily paid more. Don't be put off by the inexpensive price, this place offers better conditions, and a friendlier experience than other courses well more than twice the price. Great find...we will be back! =-)
PS we rode, but think it would be a great course for walkers...no long drive between holes.

Where are the Rangers?

Very nice course, best conditions we have played in the area so far. Everything in great shape. Good layout.
But could use some Rangers out on the course moving things along. Seemed to be huge backlog at first and then had to wait for every shot. Most of the Par 3's were backed up with 2 and 3 groups waiting. Painfully slow.
Back 9 much quicker, but some better policing to speed up play would have made for a much more enjoyable round.
Would give it another go though...very good course otherwise. =-)

Bring your lawnmower!

And get some Rangers in place who can take some action on the ridiculous slow play.
A nice course which was marred by a few issues.
No tee times which wouldn't have been a problem had the procedure been explained. What we were told was after we picked up our cart (which we had to wait for after paying in the shop and basically taking a number) was that we would THEN join our place in the queue parked up for the first tee. I even asked the (very affable) cartman (after waiting some time for the cart) what I needed to do next, and he just said to join the line.
Well, I did, and we waited and waited, and a few people passed us, but us and a few other people in carts around us just thought those passing us and being called by name were with some society who had priority over us. Turns out they were regulars jumping the line as all us first-timers were sat there doing as we were told, but only when we got to the FRONT of the line were we told (and also saw the sign) that we also had to tell the starter our cart number...in the meantime, all the others jumped on ahead of us. So that wasn't the best way to start our round...a nasty taste in our mouth for the the SLOWEST ROUND EVER. The poor visiting couple ahead of us were joined up with a bunch of local jokers who were just ridiculous, moving as slow as possible, going back to hit balls when they couldn't find theirs and NEVER calling us through despite losing sight of the group in front by the 2nd or third hole. By the time we got to the 9th we asked to go over and play 19 to 27, as otherwise, we never would have got round before sundown.
That proved to be a real life saver, as the 9 hole course had a different atmosphere and was in much better shape than the front nine. Greens still a disaster, but the fairways and the rest of it were nice. My partner was particular scathing of the tees which were too wooly and also the strange cutting around the greens which was ridiculously long.
Could be a nice course...employees friendly enough, but would be great if they explain how it all works to visitors who are paying a fair whack to play there!
On the plus side were all the airplanes (if you like airplanes...I do) and also the biggest alligator I've seen so far on a golf course. Check him out half way down the 7th...Big boy!
I'd play there again...but would probably only opt for nine holes at the end of the day...then run across the road to the beach to catch the sunset!

Varied holes, challenging and in great condition compared to others. Alligators came as a bonus!

I really enjoyed this course. Fairways best I have played on in ages and every hole different and left you looking forward to next challenge. No stupid holes.
Found alligators and other wildlife added to the interesting layout. Unlike other local courses surrounded by identical homes and play dictated by the neighbourhood layout this course felt free to roam in a lovely almost park-like setting.
Do NOT be put off by the Lehigh acres address or even the drive there, which doesn't take you through the nicest neighbourhoods. Within a short distance to the entrance it all changes and even more so once you arrive on the first tee.
Enjoy!
