Myrtle Beach National Golf Club - King's North Course
Played On 03/07/2023Longest Hole/Waterfall at Meadows Farms Golf Course
Played On 06/30/2022Fun Time at Meadow Farms
The 3 nines offer unique course features you won't find at most courses. Depending on the '9' you play you will find some fun challenges be it the Waterfall hole or the Longest. We played the Waterfall and Island courses. Expect a lot of terrain and a fair amount of water. Otherwise its pretty wide open.

Played On 10/18/2020Enjoyable Round at Barony
Barony will keep you on your toes with some interesting holes. A GPS app with course layout on your phone is a must if playing for the first time- they have a free download. There are a few sharp doglegs to watch out for. Not sure why, but carts were not equipped with sand bottles, and the fairways showed it. Staff was really great so thanks to you all. Greens were moderate speed but in great shape. Bunkers were well maintained but no rakes (no surprise.) We had a fun round and would recommend to all for play. Pick your tee box carefully according to your skill!
The Links Course at Shenandoah Valley
Played On 09/27/2014Worth the trip
Made a last minute tee time on a gorgeous Saturday morning to play at 11 am. Many slots were open! Course is in great shape. It was worth the drive from Centreville!
Brambleton Regional Park Golf Course
Played On 06/02/2014Ramble on down to Brambleton
Course is great shape and well maintained. Friendly staff. No 'cart girl' on weekdays it seems. We were off on time and finished in about 4 hours.
Bristow Manor Golf Club
Played On 10/6/2013Beware when they run tournaments
There was a tournament running an hour ahead of us, and that really slowed the pace. In addition, they let several twosomes go without pairing them up which made the situation worse. No Rangers were patrolling to monitor the pace either. We ended up quitting after 14 holes when we found a gang of players waiting at 15 to tee off.
For the novice, this course has many hazards between some of the tee boxes and the start of fairways, especially on the front 9, making it challenging to reach the fairway.
Pleasant Valley Golf Club
Played On 6/16/2013Well Managed Course
Played on Father's Day, a busy day. Despite the fact they were fully booked we were off a little early. At the 11th we ran into a Marshall who had caught another twosome trying to sneak in front of us. He had them return to the clubhouse immediately making sure we had the tee box. It must be the GPS systems on the carts that allowed them to detect the intrusion.
Prince William Golf Club
Played On 5/4/2013Good round but a bit slow
Saturday morning play was slow, but there were marshals keeping an eye on the pace of play and troublesome groups. Course is in above average shape.
Greene Hills Club
Played On 9/22/2012Enjoy this course
I play this course regularly when I visit my son in the area. There are a couple challenging holes with elevation (1st hole par 5 is one.) Not overly crowded allows a good playing pace.
Westfields Golf Club
Played On 8/18/2012Upscale country club atmosphere
The moment you arrive at Westfields you know this golf experience will be different. The friendly staff greets you at curb and takes care of loading your clubs into your cart taking them to the starting area. They'll wipe down your clubs when you return. If you are familiar withe Marriott customer service then you may know what to expect. (Don't forget to use your Marriott credit card for 5x points when you pay!)
The course is usually very well maintained, but the drought this summer took its toll on a few areas.
The range is complimentary as are tees. Of course you pay for this service in greens fees, but you can find deals on GolfNow.
