Willow Valley Golf Course
Played On 09/24/2014Very pleasant surprise - playing it the first time
Lovely links-style course. Very interesting hole layouts. Lots of bunkers both green and sand if you stray from the fairways. If you can't stay in the fairways you will be hitting from an uneven lie or side of a hill. Not a lot of trees. Great greens ran true and decently fast. Got through my round in about 4 hrs during a weekday, and the 4-some in front of me were great and didn't take forever to putt out once they reached the green. The pace was perfect.
Can't wait to play it again.

Very hilly. I suggest that it's not for beginners or anyone with a handicap of 40 or more. Can be slow play at times. Elevated tee boxes. Terrific scenery and views. Challenging. Lots of fun and very interesting overall. Especially beautiful in the fall when the leaves are turning colour.

Excellent course overall. Terrific scenery and very well maintained wide fairways and smooth greens. Some holes were visually stunning and are amongst the best (most gorgeous) I've ever seen - particularly the par three 17th and the par five 18th - bringing it home.
The "Heli Golf" video tour of the course is good but doesn't really show the intricacies of the course itself (although the Heli Golf" tour clip of the 18th is quite excellent in displaying the hole's layout and runout to the Lake and 19th hole facilities).
Can hardly wait til next year to experience this excellent Tom McBroom designed and natural terrain-sculpted course.
