Cimarron Golf Club - Boulder Course

Conditions average. Layout basic. Good for new golfers. The course is built in a wash. Half of it was closed due to water from recent rain in the mountains. To their credit they gave a good rate for the nine hole limitation. Won’t play there again, though.

User friendly. Greens very good and true. Not many mounds and easy to read. Will definitely play it again.
Lely Resort Golf & Country Club - Flamingo Island Course

Played two rounds on the beautifully conditioned Flamingo course. Greens were nearly perfect. Played from the green tees at 6500 yards and it was a very good challenge. Requires a well placed drive to avoid hazards which frequently guarded both sides of the fairway anywhere from 230 to 260 yards out. Playing early ensured an excellent pace. Will be back.
Wigwam Resort - Blue Course
Played On 3/11/2013Interesting greens. Strange hole sequencing. Lousy bunkers.
Course is short and starts out with Par 5,3,5,3,5...
70 bunkers but only enough sand for 35!
Fairways and greens in very good shape. Greens were challenging. Typical RT Jones contouring. Need to hit to the right spots or what seem like good shots end up far from the target. Good challenge for short game improvement.
Hillcrest Golf Club at Sun City West
Played On 2/27/2013Greens great. Thin fairways. Traps fair. Rough very scrufty.
This course is laid out like a links style course and it is very interesting. Looks like they are hurting for funds.
