Robert Cupp at Palmetto Hall Plantation
Played On 12/13/2018Enjoyed this course!
This is a really nice course. The staff was friendly from the check-in to the returning of the cart. I guess during this time of year they are not very busy which was great for me. I got to hit some free range balls and could tee off when I was ready. The facilities were great as well as the course. I played the Cupp course and really enjoyed the round. However, I had to get used to the greens which were fast to me. Also, a couple of the holes have greens that extend very close to the edge of a retaining wall ... leading right to a drop off into the water. So, if you miss your putt, your ball can very easily roll over the edge into the wet stuff!
Ford's Colony Country Club - Blackheath Course
Played On 05/16/2017Nice round.
They have three courses, and I played the Blackheath course. The staff all the way from the check-in to the starter were all very accommodating. I was scheduled to play one of the other courses, but the starter directed me to the less crowded one since I was playing by myself. Not knowing the course can get you into some trouble with club selection, but a nice couple who knew the course well let me join them. I enjoyed playing here, and look to play it again!
Williamsburg National Golf Club - Yorktown Course
Played On 07/16/2016Enjoyable course
This is my first time playing the Yorktown Course. I think that I like it better than the Jamestown Course. The greens were in a bit better shape on this course, too. Look forward to playing it again!
Kiskiack Golf Club
Played On 07/14/2016Nice course!
This was my first time playing Kiskiack. The course was in very good shape, and I enjoyed playing it. I look forward to coming back ... especially to play #18 since I didn't get my ball over the water!
Hi richburton98,

Williamsburg National Golf Club - Jamestown Course
Played On 07/11/2016Surprised
I have played this course many times while vacationing in Williamsburg and enjoyed it. However, I was surprised this time about how bad the greens were. They all seemed to have spots in them where there was no grass possibly due to some type of disease. My only other complaint is that there were no ball washers out on the course which I typically see at most courses. I certainly hope that they can fix the problem with the greens because it is a nice course otherwise.
First of all, we thank you for your past support. We have definitely had issues with the greens over the past season and it is a slow process to come back from. We're working hard to better conditions, and we hope you would continue you support in the future. Thank you for noting the positives, we appreciate your feedback.
Brevofield Golf Course
Played On 11/21/2012I enjoyed playing the course, but they need to manage the flow of golfers better.
We had a 12:30 PM tee time. However, they don't seem to pay much attention to tee times. There was no starter on the 1st tee, and no one managing the flow of golfers. We were in line to tee off as many others were, and a single golfer teed off and headed down the fairway that should have been matched up with a two-some or three-some in front of us. Also, once we got our round going, we never saw a ranger riding around to check on the pace of play. I like this course, but you're on your own after management takes your money.
Thanks so much for coming out Rich and sharing your experience! We really appreciate you sharing your positive feedback and hope to have you back soon!
