West Palm Beach Golf Course
Played On 01/09/2018PLANT SOME COCONUTS LYING AROUND...
Since the redevelopment years back the protective Australian pine trees were all removed from the course, leaving is exposed to the prevailing winds.
PLEASE pick up a Coconut lying around everywhere, take your sandwedge and quickly scoop away some sand and set the coconut 1/2 down in the sand.
'IF" WPBCC casual sand along the fairways were a thick coconut plantation the course would be a lot greener, and require less water.
As players please help!..'its easy', and in years ahead you can say...see that beautiful coconut tree...'I planted it'! ...Together we can do it!
Every round plant a nut! (takes 1 min) while you wait for your shot...Thank you!
The Florida Club
Played On 03/17/2017Wow! Huge Improvement! Course Excellent Shape Play Here
First off I was told to tuck my shirt in at the pro shop...Certainly since it came bit loose.
Bags taken care of asap by the staff. Starter drives to the range and kindly asks MR..would you and my wife would like to go earlier to the tee. He was 'so nice and professional' I was feeling like I was at a private country club. Well feeling great I start off birdie birdie to shoot 71 because the course is in EXCELLENT shape. While most eastern courses are dry and beat up...not The Florida Club. The greens are cut low and rolling true at about 11-12 stint. I played blue tee 6390 and perhaps will play gold 6909 today...YES me and wifey are going back!, driving up from WPB again
The pace of play was excellent (beyond) on a Friday afternoon. The course ranger kept well out of our way and stopped far in the distance to allow shots and never said boo.
The course is somewhat challenging if you don't pic the right clubs or shape the required shots and you will be given a test. The FW's were very good, rough fair and the greens were 'superb'. Its nice to put a putt on line and watch it roll to the cup as intended. The course has lovely nature to take in, woods, lakes, birds etc...a nice ecosystem. The Baby Sandhill Crane was adorable! Wifey said she felt like she was on vacation! Other members players were courteous hold doors open, excusing themselves etc etc.
GO PLAY FLORIDA CLUB You wont be disappointed! I play most courses from Boca Raton to Port St Lucie the last 25yrs. This is a honest review and perhaps my only review in years. I did not go to the restaurant/snack shop so I am not rating the off-course amenities
Atlantis Country Club
Played On 12/14/2014Best Greens Ever - Stint 12 - Like US Open!
The best greens I have played in 24years...watch out for 3 putts...Amazing course condition.
High approach shots, exact chipping, and near perfect putting will shoot you low. The greens are rolled firm and the speed is 12 on the stint. This course condition is fit for the PGA Tour/US Open
Palm Beach National Golf Course
Played On 10/27/2014Great Course
The greens are good, turf lush to hit fat, and the layout is challenging.
Consider this a good tee time
Hammock Creek Golf Club
Played On 03/29/2014Mow the greens!!! (& FW's)
The greens were not mowed and very slow.
Its going to ruin my putting stroke playing on what feels like a stint meter of 4-5.
There are worn spots all over the greens...perhaps they are trying to grow them out. The hike from WPB to play this was disappointing.
The only value was driving and approach play.
I have played this course in years past and to see it like this is upsetting.
Please start mowing the FW, Rough, GREENS!!! Perhaps buy more gas & help. PLEASE!
If you consider this course call and ask first...
Eagle/Osprey at Okeeheelee Golf Course
Played On 11/4/2013The course is coming into great shape...the putting greens are vGOOD and the fairways lush and superb to hit off...goplay!
Lush green grass with a lot of growth for the dry season...at the prices I would recommend this course, especially during the winter windy season the trees have grown enpugh to shelter the players from adverse conditions.
PLEASE SAND YOUR DIVOTS AND REPAIR THE BALL MARKS...
ALSO DRIVE AWAY FROM WORN AREAS TO HELP THE OVERALL CONDITIONS TO FLOURISH
GO PLAY !...JUST KEEP UP THE PACE, PLAY CORRECT TEE'S...LESS IS BETTER HERE AS ITS LINKS STYLE
West Palm Beach Golf Course
Played On 1/20/2013Swing all out on a FANTASTIC full sized course
WPBCC is the best local course for a long hitter.
So many local courses are driver then 8i or less into the pin.
The course condition is excellent, since the renovation and growing in
WPBCC used to be a PGA tour course on the southern swing. The course has good length, were you will have mid, long iron shots into greens...as well as hybrid, fairway wood shots. The par 5's are long!.
Expect to use all the clubs in the bag!
The greens are excellent and the fairways are generous width & undulating with strategic placed bunkers.
Right off i95 / Forest hill Blvd - a easy drive there
After the round relax on the patio with full views of the course.
If you are unsure were to play...WPBCC is 'guaranteed' great day!
