Ample parking.Very helpful welcome from Keith in the pro shop and a follow up farewell after the round. Fairways and tees in good condition and the greens were the best my golf buddy and I seen this year. It is a course that you must stay on the fairway as easy to lose balls in the semi. Also a few strategic bunkers at the green fronts to make life interesting. A nice course only spoilt by the fact I didnt play as well as I have been lately. Anyway a beer on the patio served up by another friendly member of staff soon rectified that.

Lovely setting and views with attractive clubhouse. Very friendly and helpful staff member.
Despite not playing very well I enjoyed this course. It played longer than the yardage suggests as very hilly in places. Keep fit for Cardiac Hill, aptly named I should add.
There are opportunities to make birdies when the greens are softer but were very firm and quick so difficult to hold the ball on the green. In defence, I'm not Dustin Johnson and we've had a long dry spell and windy of late so the greens have dried out. Extra watering please Mr Groundsman !!!
Due to Covid 19, I am unable to comment too much on facilities regards the clubhouse but a nice seating area at the back overlooks the 18th green and putting practice area. A cold beer after would have been perfect with a view across the course.
However, there is extra car parking a short walk away when the main is full. Buggies available and a net practice area between the shop and 1st tee to loosen up.
Will definitely come again, if only for that beer !

Very nice course with excellent greens offering some challenges and chances to make a birdie or two. Very welcoming and helpful staff and other players too. They seemed happy to be there and everybody was very relaxed and sociable.
My twoball didn't play particularly well and it rained a fair amount to help try and spoil the day.. Importantly the course held up well, a few soggy areas but they were mainly off the beaten track. The tees and greens were excellent, the fairways were very good and easily took a divot., remember it had had a fair bit of rain on them over the previous few days. However, I am really looking forward to playing this course again in better weather.
The chap at reception was very friendly, chatted freely and offered advice about the best way to approach buying a new driver. The bar area was functional, not terribly inviting but did serve up a nice pint which was just what the doctor ordered after dealing with the elements. I would recommend this course.

I enjoyed this course as it is picturesque but it is tough physically..I'm 63 and reasonably fit but despite using a electric trolley it was tiring.as it is very hilly
However the course is in great condition with superb greens and the fairways have a good surface to take a divot.
I have two complaints which are that the tee direction signage was absent on some holes or not in a good position on others. A map and some directions on the scorecards would help. Secondly, the paths are very rocky and uneven and the bunkers need some sand in them ! I know the idea is not to go in them, but there are a lot and they are mostly unplayable with only 1/2 inch of sand and somewhat stony in some. This I found out of character with the course and I suppose if I played it regularly, then I might be more aware of the bunker positions. I paid £26 on a hot deal and so was good value for money but the normal price is £38 so not good value when you take into consideration my comments. I will play again and maybe hire a buggy but only on a hot deal price.
