I've been playing Old South during vacation visits since the clubhouse was just a trailer when the course opened many years ago. I played there twice last week. You won't find a better value for a truly quality course in Hilton Head. Memorable layout, excellent course conditions, beautiful views, great staff. Other courses in the area are now charging so much for lesser courses. No brainer, play Old South.

Played on a Sunday afternoon with a buddy while on family vacation. Only 15 mins from where we're staying. Really enjoyed our round. Course was in average condition, greens a little shaggy, straightforward routing but nothing that made us regret playing. Pace was super fast (played 18 with cart in 3 hrs), staff very friendly, laid back vibe from the locals and the price matched what I would expect for the course. Playing again tomorrow and maybe a third time if I can sneak it in. Not a resort type course but I would rather play here 3 times while I'm at the beach for a week than paying $150 for one round at a slightly nicer course in Panama City. PS, I'm a 7 handicap from Chicago.

My first time playing Twisted Dunes, won't be the last. What a fun round! I really enjoyed the course, the design reminded me very much of a Mike Stranz course in SC that I also like, True Blue. Challenging but fair, lots of elevation changes, great natural vibe with the sand cart paths and the routing keeps each hole separate from the rest. A crisp 4 hour round on a Sunday morning was much appreciated!

Conditions were pretty good but not great. Didn't impact my experience. Greens were a little beat up, but again, not a big deal. My only real complaint is the sand traps.....numerous big rocks in every bunker. I just don't understand that on an otherwise enjoyable course. Regardless, I look forward to playing the course again when I return to the area. I definitely recommend to anyone who is on the fence about playing the course. Glad I chose Twisted Dunes!
