My wife and I played the Oaks course with two Canadians who were very good company.
The course was in very good condition throughout and gave a real chance of par on most holes but these could easily be double bogey if you strayed off the fairly generous fairways.
As far as holiday golf goes this course is exceptional value through Golf Now and we’re only sorry we found it so late in our holiday.
The par 3’s over water are really good challenges but give a real sense of achievement if you get on and stay on the greens.
To enjoy it, I think you need to be realistic with your choice of tee - I play off 12 and found the white tees a perfect match, my wife - off 17 - was comfortable off the red tees.

All the people we dealt with were friendly and welcoming. If we come back to Orlando, we’ll definitely be back and no doubt try the Cypress as well.

We were fortunate to be paired up with a very nice Canadian couple of similar ability to us and who had played the course before. We also had a new SkyCaddie SX500 or we would probably have found far more water than we did - it is often hiding out of sight from the tee but not that far off line.

The course was in fairly good condition and the greens, although not super fast were quite challenging because of their undulations. It was difficult to remember to take the bunker rake with you as we’ve not encountered this before. The bunkers and the ground surrounding the greens were probably the weakest parts of the course but overall it was very playable (just ask my wife who had a career best 10 under handicap round!!!).

It was disappointing to finish and find that the clubhouse closes at 5pm so no after round bonhomie.

Nevertheless, we are booked in to play again next week- hope we get equally friendly playing partners.

The course is fairly straightforward, in fact many of the holes seem very similar in length and construction. The greens were in excellent condition and quite fast enough for somebody just out from winter in the UK. But.....almost all greens are raised up about 8 to 10 feet above fairway level with a bunker left and right so not a lot of variety.
As we were a two-ball the starter put us out on the B nine which gave us a clear run to play the nine holes in around 90 minutes. Unfortunately, we started the A nine just behind a 4 ball so that was more like 2 hours with a wait on every shot.
The staff were all very friendly and we enjoyed our day but it wouldn't be top of our must plays in the area.

We wanted to have a reasonably easy start to our holiday and this course provided a very pleasant experience thanks in no small part to our playing partners who were familiar with the layout.

We are only here for 2 weeks and trying a variety of courses but would almost certainly return if we re-visit the Orlando area.
