Course is in excellent condition

The course is always in excellent condition (fairways, greens, bunkers). There are also excellent practice facilities. The greens generally have a lot of undulations and are challenging but are in pristine condition so fun to put on. The fairways are wide with the biggest challenge being the course length as drives and woods do not roll far on the soft fairways, although a variety of tees are offered for different skill levels. The course design is a bit boring (particularly the second nine) as it is generally flat and not a lot of uniqueness to the different holes. Normal green fee is $150 (I am member at associated club so get a special rate). The course staff are professional but not overly friendly.

Excellent layout

This course has an excellent course design with nice natural terrain changes and water hazards that makes every hole unique. The course is challenging although the fairways are wide. The only hole I don't like is the first as it has a very large tree in the center of the fairway that for the average length drive blocks the second shot except for small windows left and right. The course plays longer when wet as the ball has little rollout. The cart path is also located at the very edges of the hole which means a lot of walking when it is cart path only (wet course). The course is reasonably maintained although sand traps can be very wet after heavy rains and the greens roll true and fast although the surfaces for some are not perfect. Course play is normally fast (typically 3 to 3.5 hours with cart) especially during the weekdays. Staff are friendly and the course pro is an excellent teacher (best in my experience). A favorite among the locals, some of whom live on the course.

Classic layout

Classic course layout on generally level ground with a fair amount of water in play for a desert course but wide fairways. Course is generally in good conditions although the greens were a bit grainy and the fairways were a cut a bit high (little roll), possibly due to the fairly recent over-seeding.

Course is in good condition

This course is currently in good condition with plenty of good sand in the bunkers (unusual for Tucson) and the greens in good shape and rolling true, although definitely slower than others in the area. Some holes are challenging and require good shot placement, but overall a very fair course.

Challenging but enjoyable course with beautiful views

Course design requires accurate shots but is in good condition except for the first green. The greens were apparently aerated recently so they are a bit rough at present, although they still seemed to roll true if a bit slower than usual. A very nice bar in the clubhouse for a cold beer after the round.

Excellent course design

The course design is excellent - reasonably challenging but still fun to play. The greens (particularly the first few and last holes) are not in the best condition although the ball still rolls true. I was told by a fellow player that there was frost damage to the greens some time back and that they are still recovering from this. Very good sand in the bunkers which is unusual for Tucson courses.

Good and bad

A very nice design (one of the best city courses) and the greens and fairways were in fair condition. However, the sand traps contain only a thin veneer of calcite cemented sand over dirt and the place of play is very slow with no marshal to enforce fast play. There are better courses for the same or less money in the Tucson area.

Nice course

Very nicely designed course which is kept in good condition although the sand traps are a bit firm (need more frequent raking). Greens role true and are reasonably fast.

Nice course but exposed

Fun course to play with some easy opening holes getting more challenging on the back nine. Course is maintained in good condition. The area is exposed so when the wind is up it can be challenging. One of the friendliest staffs on any of the courses in the area.
