This is not a long ball hitters course it more a positioning strategy there is lots of trouble if you get out of position. It is great for older players who don't hit it so far anymore but still have a good iron game. The greens are challenging and hard to read, the breaks are everywhere. The worse feature of this course is the sand traps, they are deep and on slopes making them hard and dangerous for older people to get in and out of. The sand is of poor quality very fine like sugar making it difficult to hit a proper sand shot. Some traps the sand is a half inch deep and other places its 8 to 10 inches deep and the weed barrier is exposed in several areas. The traps are too extreme for a municipal course. The other problem with the course is the course is that the grass is cut too short in the fairway you rarely get a leave that is setting up. There is wildlife everywhere and the river scenery is spectacular. It’s a fun course go play it.
