Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course
Played On 07/27/2017Typical my buddy Frankie course, GofNow beware
Same GolfNow second class citizen attitude experienced at most courses. Wasn't paired w/ person who had the same time. Starter was more concerned about times scheduled at the time when he assumed I'd make the turn, despite my having paid for 18 holes. BTW, walked 18 in 2 hours 45 minutes and made the turn an hour before the group he was overly concerned about. Had to play the course back nine first because of 4-5 foursomes on the first tee. Was told that they were a FAST scramble, lol. Really, what's fast? 6 different times had people associated w/ course drive by in carts for no apparent reason. Word must have gotten out that there was an outsider on the course. Very apparent that this was a "gumbah" course; AKA "my buddy Frankie." or "home of the bar stool pro." Greens were wavy. Had a poor experience, to say the least.

The following statement is related to mowing practices, not the staff. The grounds crew were friendly, hard working people.
So, went out to a country course for the combination of piece, quiet & fresh air. Left the course with lungs full of gas & diesel fumes & ears wringing from a few hours of being blasted by the sound of LOUD mowers. May well have played a round in downtown Pittsburgh.
Overall condition of course is very good. Although, greens are slow & a bit wavy. If not for mowers smothering the customers, play would have been quite enjoyable.
Grantwood Golf Course

80% of time golf courses treat GolfNow customers like second class citizens. Grantwood is no different. I wasn't paired w/ the 2 players that had my same time. Starter told me to wait & then disappeared 'till after my scheduled time. I ended up having to play the course back to front because of stacked up time that his actions put me in. Grounds crew in the way, just like on most courses these days. Play was slow due to the modern day hacks that take far too long to get around a course.
