Played On 08/23/2014Punched Greens?!?!?!
The main reason for my poor ratings is because I just played there for my first time and the greens had recently been "punched" so there were holes and sand everywhere making the putting terrible.
When a person calls someplace to book a tee time I would think it is only common courtesy for the staff to that that customer if the greens are in that kind of condition so I was pretty PO'ed when we got there and found out. We even had another course call us when we had a booked tee time and they decided to punch the greens
Also the place has no driving range so it takes a few holes of bad play just to get warmed up.
There are a lot of doglegs so I used a driver far less than I usually do. The fairways and rough were in good shape. The course in general is interesting, challenging and probably would be a fun course to play but I may never know since I am pretty unhappy about the whole punched green situation.
Unfortunately for the course the night before we played someone rode their motorcycle on the practice greens and the greens for the first 2 holes and damaged them badly so we had to start on the 3rd hole. That didn't help my perception either, but that was something beyond their control. I am hoping that is the reason the staff wasn't overly friendly as well
