I’d read all the reviews about how a lot the pace of play is, maybe we just got lucky. Never waited on a tee box and had nobody within 2 holes behind us.

The course was in pretty good shape for winterish conditions, greens were excellent. Staff was friendly and really helpful. Range and practice area were well taken care of.

Overall great day.

The course was in overall good condition for this time of year.

The driving ramble and practice greens were closed, so unable to comment on those.

Really glad I was playing in a group that had course knowledge. Several blind or semi-blind tee shots from the tips.

Greens were very firm, which was to be expected, but they weren’t rolling quite as fast as one would expect.

Was not happy to pay $5 for a small bottle of Gatorade at the turn.

The pace of play was something of a pain. As busy as it was, not sure why there was no Marshall to help speed up play.

Drove up from San Antonio to play this course with some friends. Can’t wait to go back. By far, the best municipal course in the area. Tee to green, conditions were outstanding. It’s a short course, but don’t let that fool you. It’s got its share of challenges.

I don’t get down to play the wilderness very often, but once again it’s proven to be well worth the wait.

Staff: as always, small town friendliness with a professional demeanor. Knowledgeable, helpful and genuinely nice people. To include the maintenance guys on the mowers. Talked to a couple of them and they were all nice guys.

Range/chipping area/practice green: I could spend all day just practicing here. Doesn’t get crowded and is not only in top shape but is almost an exact replica of the conditions you’ll find on the course.

Pace: I teed off at 9:00 on a Tuesday. Didn’t see another soul until #14.

The course: finally, the course. As usual it is in excellent shape. From tee to green you couldn’t ask for better conditions. The layout is challenging, but rewards well hit shots. The greens were in excellent shape and even with a little moisture on the ground, they rolled fairly fast.

This course points out your flaws immediately, yet rewards well struck balls. I wish I could give it six stars.

Got the 7:30 tee time through golf now. Was paired with two local guys who made the round very enjoyable. We were the first group out, so pace was no issue. I was really pleased with the condition of the tee boxes and fairways. The greens rolled moderately fast, but still held approach shots pretty well.

Overall was very pleased with the quality of the course. The clubhouse staff were friendly and helpful and the maintenance crews we encountered on the course were friendly and courteous.

First time on this course. Great layout. Greens rolled well.

5 1/2 round. There was a 5some two groups ahead of us that played extremely slow. We called the clubhouse twice to ask for a Marshall to come speak with them, which he did. But nothing changed. The 5some never split up and the pace actually slowed down after the Marshall talked to them. Who lets a 5 some play on a Saturday?

We will most likely play it again, but not on a weekend and only if it’s a hot deal.

Played this track today. Got a hot deal for $10 for 18 and a cart. Course was in really good shape. It was busy and slow, but everyone was friendly and understanding.

This is a great course to work on your accuracy and shot shaping. Leave driver at home, you can easily manage this course without it. The greens are in great shape and folly very true.

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming.

1st time playing this course and was pleasantly surprised. We played he morning after tropical storm hermine rolled through here and the course drained well and played very dry.

For a Saturday, the pace of play was awesome. We were a twosome that finished in just under three hours.

The greens are impressive for this late in the summer.

Overall we had a great day, couldn't beat the golfnow hot-deals for this course.

I went off as a single at 7:40 am on a Sunday. There was not another soul on the course that I was aware of.

The course was in very good shape. The greens were fast but not exceptionally hard to read. The greens were not very receptive to short iron or wedge approach shots. So be cautious if you're a pin hunter.

The front nine seemed much narrower than the back. Maybe it just felt that way to me.

This is a course that rewards patience, discipline, and the ability to shape shots. It's short enough that you can leave driver in the bag on most holes in order to position a 3 wood or long iron strategically.

Would love to play the course again, I would absolutely recommend to a friend.

The clubhouse leaves a lot to be desired. A few sodas, and absolutely nothing for snacks means that you should eat well before you get to the course if you play in the morning. When I made the turn, the snack bar was not open.

This is a nice course, wasn't crowded on a Saturday. the staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. can't wait to go back.

I'm not sure what I expected from this course. I haven't played there in several years. this course is not in good shape. Greens are inconsistent. fairways have little to no grass and the rough is basically un-mowed weeds. I won't be going back.

I haven't played this course since 1998. It is in great shape. The staff was extremely friendly. can't wait to go back.
