Palm at Angel Park Golf Club
Played On 11/13/2019Angel Park - a nice experience
I had read the reviews and decided to give Angel Park a try. I am glad I did. The course was in nice shape. I found some of the pin placements very challenging - maybe the next time I play it will seem a bit easier. We played in 4:20 and couldn't quite keep up with the group in front of us. I appreciated the ranger not bothering us about it.
My only criticism is the transporting of the bags to and from the drop area. When we arrived, there was not an attendant at the bag drop area so we had to wait several minutes for the cart to come around. Upon finishing, there was no one at the cart return area to clean our clubs and have them transported around front. So we carried them ourselves.
Overall, quite nice and a good value for golf in Vegas. Will repeat.
Quarry Pines Golf Club
Played On 03/25/2018The Ranger Ruined My Experience
This is a nice layout in reasonably good shape. The problem is that tee times are booked 7minutes apart and the management - through the ranger -puts unreasonable demands on pace of play. You are harassed into staying on the tail of the group in front of you - if they are behind, you wait, and once they catch up the ranger is Johnny on the spot to ride you to play faster, EVEN IF YOU ARE ON PACE. After a while, I became uncomfortable taking time to read putts, to glance at the yardage book, to use the restroom facilities, and to patronize the beverage cart.
Other than the ranger, I found the staff to be courteous and friendly. They should book tee times further apart and make up,for the lost revenue by getting rid of the ranger. Also, if they are so hung up on rushing you around the course, put GPS on the carts.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your recent round at Quarry Pines. Our goal is to maintain a pace of play that will be comfortable for all golfers. I apologize that you were not able to enjoy your round as we intend.
Thank you for the kind words about the golf course along with our other staff members. If you would be willing to share additional details of your experience with me in an effort to give our ranger additional training which could have improved your round, please contact Donn Hess, General Manager, at 520-744-7443 ext.7007.
We hope that you will give us an opportunity to show you a better experience in the future.
