Arlington Ridge Golf Club
Played On 02/07/2023Golfer Friendly
Played at 8 am and the pro shop staff and starter were all friendly. Played with two golfer's that we had never met before (Tony & Russell) both friendly great guys to enjoy a round of golf with.
The course had been airated and the fairways were were not very thick taking some of the reward for good shots away.
There is ample practice facilities, bathrooms, and beverage cart. This is a nice friendly place to play golf.
Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
Played On 02/16/2022Wednesdays a good day.
Played on a Wednesday. Almost nobody on the course. We played 18 holes in 3 hours what a nice way to play.
Seems like everybody waits until later in the day to play when the price goes down a little. You are rewarded for most fairway shots. The greens are not very consistent but are in better than average condition for February.
There are two bathrooms on the course which is nice.
There is no beverage cart, so if it is hot you better bring something to stay hydrated or buy it at the pro shop. There was no started (didn't need one), and never seen a ranger.
Bruce Hills Golf Club
Played On 07/03/2020Fun in the sun? Be careful.
This is a fun little course. It is pretty straight forward with very sloped greens on 9,14, and 17 that will give you fits holding the slope. Accurate shot making is rewarded and you don't have to be crazy long to score well. We played early in the morning and the dew did not leave the surface of the greens until about 8:15 am. Perhaps due to the heat (90*) the green were not cut, but it would have been nice to have them whipped to remove the dew to improve putting.. It is a nice course at a fair price.
If you are concerned about COVID-19, Staff are not wearing masks in the club house, and no plastic dividers in the carts, Some ball washers were present with no towels, and there are no changes to the holes or pins to minimize contact with items others may have touched. So bring hand sanitizer with you if these things concern you..
Golden Hawk Golf Club
Played On 05/21/2020Little rough round.
I like this course layout. It has a little challenge an some easier holes to make you feel good. We have had a lot of rain in Metro Detroit area so I will cut the course some slack. The green were fuzzy and pitted in areas. Had to move the ball to avoid some rough/pitted areas on the greens.
So with the Covid 19 Virus limiting the amount of play this season my game is a little rough, and so were the greens.
I will play this course again and hope the cart paths are repaired and the greens are in better shape.
Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
Played On 02/20/2020Great for a fast 18 holes.
Played 18 holes in under 3 hours and 45 minutes. The pace of play is almost always excellent. The fairways were in good shape so drives in the fairway were rewarded with a nice lie. The greens were cut really tight and were top coated with sand to manage mold from the rain and a few overcast days, so the putting was not as nice as usually. I understand the greens keeper has to do what is right for the log term of the course. It was a beautiful sunny day and I met a nice father and son team that were visiting Florida from Canada. I have played this course many times over the years and in general the people that play here are very pleasant, whether they are novice or experienced golfers. I would recommend that you bring a hydro flask as there is no beverage cart on the course. Overall this is a nice course and the pace of play will make you want to come back.
Swiss Fairways Golf Course
Played On 02/16/2020Show the fairways some love.
Played on a Sunday and the pace was slow which is expected on weekend. There was a ranger on the course but he didn't really help with the pace of play.
The greens were in pretty good shape and putted true.
There was not much benefit to being in the fairways. The grass is very thin in the fairways so playing in the rough was not much different than fairways. If you were lucky in either situation you had a decent lie.
I played this course with my brother so it was a nice day out to socialize, and we didn't take the round too seriously. If you are out for fun, there are a few interesting holes that require you to carry water that will add to your enjoyment.
Hello, epoterek1. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Kings Ridge Golf Club - Ridge Course
Played On 02/15/2020Fun Golf
Golf course was in good shape. Good shots are rewarded by being in good grass and nice greens. The pace of play was excellent. I wanted to work on my iron shots and this was the cure.
Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club
Played On 02/12/2020Course needs a little love.
This course has a nice layout. However, you are not rewarded for putting good shots in the fairway. The grass is pretty scarce right now. Some of the cart paths go down hill and when you get to the end there are potholes that bounced me into the roof of the cart.
Larry I believe was the started and he is friendly and does a good job of getting people out in a timely way.
Once on the course the pace of play was slow and nobody seemed to be encouraging groups to pick up their pace..
I think any given day the pace could be better an if there has been rain perhaps the greens and fairways are in better shape.

Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club
Played On 02/09/2019Beautiful day of golf.
Staff were very friendly bringing a cart to the car to load our clubs. Good directions from the starter for when to approach the first tee and when it was safe to hit the second shots. The course is layed out nicely. There was a beverage cart on the course. The bathrooms and food in the club house was fine. The pace of play and even the weather cooperated to make the day great.
Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club
Played On 02/14/2018Placement for a good score.
Sancturary has a nice layout for golfers that know their game. There are several par 4 holes that dare you to go for the gusto. Others you can cut in half with a good iron off the tee and get a bird or easy par. It was a fun course for me and my brother.
We were met in the parking lot by a young staffer that helped us load our clubs on to a cart. Very pleasant starter and other staff.
The fairways were not very thick and did not reward good shots. The greens were slow even on down hill putts.
It is a fun course, but pricey for the condition of the fairways and greens.
Golden Hawk Golf Club
Played On 04/23/2017Frosted Staff at 40 degrees.
It was over 40 degrees in the morning but play was halted due to frost? Staff were less than diplomatic about allowing people to walk on the grass or use the driving range Matt area. After starting 2 hours after the scheduled tee time, the course was nice. There was no beverage cart. So after 7 hours at the course we were eager to leave and get a soda. The course layout is fun, and the pace was not too bad once we got started.
The Highlands Golf Course
Played On 02/14/2017Tale of two halfs.
The front 9 is very tight. The back 9 is fairly open.
Shot placement is a premium. The course was in nice shape and the rest of the guys were pleasant, making it a great round of golf.
Manatee County Golf Course
Played On 02/10/2017Need a Greenskeeper
This course has a nice layout. It needs the love and attention of a good greenskeeper. Tee boxes are like sandboxes, and the greens need help with filling them in with grass and proper mowing.
The Staff are all nice. I think they would really be proud of the place if it were in better shape.
I 100% agree with these comments.
Jupiter Dunes Golf Course
Played On 02/18/2016Pint size fun.
After being in the cold of Michigan for a few months, this was the warm up I needed before playing some of the full size courses. The staff is friendly and a wealth of local knowledge. This is a great course to walk if your healthy. There are a lot of senior golfers, so if you walk the pace is appropriate while they are riding. There is lots of water, fluffy sand traps and postage stamp greens to challenge you. The course was in good shape. I met a lot of nice people while playing. If you want to play at hyper speed this may not be the place for you. If you want to relax and have fun... play 18 here and enjoy yourself.
Green Valley Country Club
Played On 02/20/2014Fun Course.
This is a fun course if you are in the area. The staff is friendly.
The pace of play given was good. We finished in just under 4 hours. If it is your first time playing here it is difficult to know where your shot placements should be. You can not see the hole from tee to green so some time you can hit though the fairway and be in trouble. For a 45 year old course the greens are thinner than you would expect from a good greens keeper.
Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands
Played On 02/19/2014Fun Course
This is a Fun Course that played in under 4 hours. This is a fairly short course but there are some fun water carries like the 6th. hole. The greens putt well and were in good shape for this time of the year. There are some OB areas that I would recommend just taking a drop (gators in ponds).
Legends Golf & Country Club
Played On 02/13/2014Slow Play
Legends Golf and Country Club has some nice challenging holes and has the potential to be a wonderful facility. However, a 5 hour round of golf for both of the 18 hole rounds we played there in the past two weeks, sucked the fun out of it. The starter told us he would come by the practice green and let us know when the tee was open. However, when it was time he whistled to get our attention and then yelled our last names. Once on the course there is no rangers to keep the pace of play moving. We were backed up 3 deep on several holes.
Sand traps are well placed but the sand was wet and heavy. Some Traps were holding water. However, the greens are in great shape for this time of the year.
This course is challenging for a variety of golfers, with the gold tees at 6911 yards. Some slower golfer would do well to move forward to the white tees at 6069 yard to make their round and the round of those following them more fun.
Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
Played On 02/10/2014Good Pace of play.
The Course is in good shape for this time of year. The pro shop staff are friendly and helpful. The Starter is a very nice lady that does a good job of connecting single players up to make 4somes. We played this course a couple of times in the past two weeks and we consistently finished 18 holes in under 4 hours. One day was a club outing with a shotgun start and even that round finished in under 4 hours. There are 5 sets of tees so if your a long hitter it is a very tough 6269 yards. Women get a generous tee placement with only 4590 for 18 holes.
