Spring Hill Golf Club at Albany Golf & Event Center
Played On 4/14/2023Disappointing patron experience.
Tee time of 1020. Foursome behind us, who said nothing to us, caught us on 7 but never waited more than 5 min (they were better than us, couldn't tee until we were on our second stroke) had marshal tell us to keep pace after completing hole 10 at 1230. Let the foursome behind us play through and still finished 18 in 4 hours, 15 minutes. (After waiting out a couple of downpours.)
First time on this course. Why is "pace" determined by fastest players? It takes a minute to put divots back and repair ball marks, a courtesy that we saw nobody else engaging in.
Longbow Golf Club
Played On 04/12/2018Arizona golfing excellence!
Was my 5th Arizona course and the first one that had grass in all the fairways. Booked the GN Hotdeal, best $ I've spent this year.
Excellent carts, staff, beverage cart girl was an amiable and professional young lady; no Barbie dolls here, thank you!
The grill was first rate. I went 22 over...but have NO complaints. Challenging but fair layout.
Will become my Arizona regular stop.
RiverRidge Golf Complex

This course plays long (on your legs), yet I always walk it. Very nice scenery. The greens are good and it is well maintained. It is challenging enough to keep a 20 handicapper with a 250 yard average drive entertained. The sand traps have fluffy sand (a novel concept for most Oregon municipal courses). The "club house", well, they don't really have one. Pre made sandwiches and frozen burritos does not make we want to hit the 19th hole. This is a golfer's golf course more than a "hang out and avoid going home" golf course.
Springfield Golf Club
Played On 3/18/2013Beautiful scenery!
This course is so beautiful it is hard not to golf slow taking it all in. Ask about holes 8 and 9 before you start (or buy the course guide).
I will be back! Probably next week.
Fiddler's Green Golf Course
Played On 10/20/2012Best PRO SHOP around!
"Fid's" has the most complete pro shop within 100 miles. The staff are great. New grips, club sizing, loft, lie adjustments in a no pressure atmosphere. Want to go hit a set of clubs you are considering, just to see if they are right for you, this is the place. And their own generic brand R5 clubs-best bang for the buck anywhere!
The course is decent, but does not drain well and is not the place to go unprepared. In the rainy months, Oregon Mudder golf boots are a necessity. But $18 for 18 everyday and $1.50 for a bucket of balls, you really CAN'T go wrong!
Just read your review. Sounds furstrating, and that is the hardest part of this game (especially when just taking it up). There always are players slower or faster. I have played for 20 yrs and still have problems like you described. Dont let it discourage you
