This is the best Troon course I've played.and the best fairways and greens of the forty courses I've played in the greater Phoenix area. Greens very receptive. I wish Poston Butte fairways and greens were in this condition. Only negative is the course has houses bordering most of the fairways and a lot of construction going on.

A very nice course in great condition. The front nine was easier than the back. More elevation changes on the back. Wished they had the course layout on the scorecard.

The course was in fine shape. Better than,some of rhe reviews on Yelp. This course is definitely for the better golfer. If you are not a 12 handicap or better I would suggest an easier course.

Have played Ocotillo a number of times, but this is the first time now that Phil has it, and it is no long a Troon course. Course was very soggy in a number of places. There were water stations on the course but not a cup to be had in any of them! Most of the traps were like concrete.

As good as it gets! Beautiful course in very good condition. Entire course is green with water on most of the holes. My playing partners consider it one of the best courses they have ever played. I am sure there are others that may be as good or better but for the price on Golfnow, it would be hard to beat.

I don't know who those are giving this course good re views. Probably management. An old worn out course. Worst fairway conditions I have played and the greens and bunkers were not much better. Played Dobson Ranch the day before and twice the course for less money!

Have played Ironwood three times and it is fun to play for the most part. We play from the tips and it is still not very long, although some of the par 3's from the tips make up for it. In our 60's it is enjoyable to play. As usual for most of the courses in the area, more dirt than sand in the traps. Don't understand why.

I was mostly disappointed. The pace of play was terrible. No marshal to keep things moving. The fairways were ok, but the greens were not. The "sand" traps were more "dirt" traps, but it seems a lot of courses, even better courses in this area are that way. You would think courses here could find actual sand to put in them!

Two of us got a super deal at $20 each. Thought it was for 18 but it was 9, which was still a great deal. We would have liked to play all 18 but would have had to for go the 9 hole special and pay the full price of of around $72. Still was a great experience and the course was immaculate. Greens have tons of undulations. Will look for 18 hole specials and go back.
