Enjoyed the course, overall the course was in pretty good shape. Greens are excellent but don’t hold much. The ants however are taking over the fairways on a lot of the back 9.
First time to play this course, and would play again eventually, but think $69 for a weekend round was a bit much. Pace of play was horribly slow but I’ll attrinute a lot of that to there being a tournament in front of us.
Range was nice and staff was friendly.

One caveat to this review, my benchmark is courses in Dallas, TX, so I’m used to flat crappy courses....but my goodness. There truly are no words to express how unbelievable this course is. We started our round on the ridge course and it was about 61 degrees, second nine played the meadow course and it topped out at about 78 degrees. Each nine had a totally different feel, but I personally enjoyed the Ridge course a bit more.
Greens are in phenomenal shape but holy golf balls they’re fast. Like putting on concrete kind of fast. Hit a low burner and kiss your ball goodbye... high arching shot, they’ll hold.
My favorite golfing experience of all time. Ps if you’re traveling like me, they have regular flex Titleis 716 AP 1’s. Took a little adjusting from my normal flex, but still shot 82. Highly recommend as a must do if you stay anywhere near Denver, Winter Park or Boulder.

First time to play this course and I must say the staff, amenities and course were phenomenal. The smells get a bit weird now and then being right next to a landfill, but for the most part the bugs weren’t bad at all. Greens are in pristine shape for the end of August. Top 5 must play course in DFW.
Oak Hollow Golf Course

The day we played there had been significant rain. Surprisingly the course had soaked up most of it. Considering how much we got the course was in great shape. Holes 5/14 are a bit confusing, however compared to a Sherrill Park, much easier to follow. Challenging layouts but not not a ton of unplayable lies. Would definitely recommend at a twilight or weekday rate.

Have to first give the caveat that my dad was the head pro here for 20+ years and I grew up playing golf there. Fast forward 15 years later and the gawdy purple yellow and red paint still stands. While there have been some improvements over the years, the course still remains in great shape. It’s sad to see how sketchy the area has become, but if you’re there for the golf you won’t be disappointed. The staff when I went was some young kids and weren’t exactly welcoming. While I get twilight gets asst pros and lower level pro shop staff, they were pretty lacking a personality. Not rude, but not nice either.
