Challenging, Hilly & Accuracy Required

This is a tough course. I played the Gold and Red. It is hard. The course requires and demands precision and accuracy. They holes are very challenging and the pin placements can be extremely tricky. The bunkers have very hard sand so I wouldn't rate them well.

We got to play in Fall

Can't complain about the course set up after all the rain we've had. The greens are in excellent shape for this time of year. Slow, however, roll true once you've figured out the pace. It would be nice if GolfNow advertises that the course has a Cart Path rule in effect, this would have made us ditch the cart as it added at least 30 - 35 minutes to the round.

Great Course

Played this several times. It is just off the highway. Easily accessible. The course has just the right amount of challenges. The greens are well kept and the pin positions are set differently every time to add to the excitement.

Good Course that needs some more love

The course is located in an excellent spot. The facility is sprawling, however, the course can be maintained better. It is the start of the season and there are several greens that have a bunch of bald patches and tee boxes that are not mowed to perfection. This is a premium course with a premium price tag attached to it and therefore they need to give it more love. The staff are very friendly and helpful and do their best.

Good course

A very good course that is well maintained. Great greens and decent layout. Course was in excellent condition. Carts only Path rule is very silly. They should at least allow 90 through the fairway. This will improve the pace of play.

Tough Course made tougher

This is a very challenging course with precarious hills up and down the valley. I know this has been a wet summer, however, the rough is so thick, it makes US Open grades to me. I am no pro, however, it is very unforgiving if you miss the fairway and you will lose a lot of balls.

This facility is huge. The holes are well spaced. Some really challenging holes with really tight pin positions. The greens are very fast and they break. It is hard to get a read on them.

Nice Course

This is a good course with fair risk and reward holes scattered around the 18. There are also very long par 5's. The greens are hard and fast and accuracy is rewarded well. The front 9 is open while the back 9 is tighter and more wooded. Almost every hole is a dog leg and there are water hazards on almost every hole. A few of the tee boxes need some work especially the 16th hole. Pace of play was impacted because we were behind a foursome that was behind a foursome that was walking. There weren't any Marshalls on the course even though the GPS fitted on the carts let you know when you are playing behind schedule.

Tough Course

This was a tough course for me. There is water on practically every hole. You need to be accurate everywhere. Course is well maintained and they are trying their best to keep it up to speed. There is no practice green on the course. I did not know that this course is so close to the city. A great find!

An Odd One

This was the first City-Run Golf course that I have played on. Now I'm not sure if this course is aimed at locals only, however, if you come from out of town, even with a GPS, it is impossible to find the entrance to this Golf Course.

When you do find the Golf Course and Park, you enter the Club House. The Pro Shop isn't in the Club House, it is by a booth near the First Tee. The Pro Shop does not have a washroom, it is by another booth in between the two courses Martin & Beddoe which are the two courses at this facility.

The Golf course is great. It offers its challenges, however, it is great course for boosting your confidence. The course has a lot of undulations so on a lot of Par 5's you don't really get much run off your Driver.

I played in the morning around 8:30 AM. We are currently in drought like conditions in Southern Ontario, however, this course is obsessed with keeping its fairways green. I don't see the point of watering the fairways when the sun is beating down so hard. It is only going to burn the grass more. I'm no Golf Superintendent or ecology expert, however, I do know that it doesn't rain when it is sunny. So ideally you should be watering the fairways before sunrise and after the sun start to set.

Anyway with the sprinklers on, on almost every hole it was annoying to say the least.

The craziest part about this course though is that it shares a facility with a walking and biking trail. People are always on the course taking their strolls. The craziest hole is the 16 Hole. Firstly there is no signage on this that tells you how to move from hole to hole. Furthermore, there are no defined pathways on the course.

To get to the 16th hole from the 15th you actually drive past the 6th hole where someone could be playing. You actually drive through the hole.

Then when you are the Tee Box on the 16th Hole you have path that bikers and walkers are using all the time. I never knew this and as I looked up, I saw this lady walking across with here headphones on. This was followed by two more bikers and an advanced age woman before I could tee off.

As you drive towards the green, you see a tiny sign on the side on a tree telling you that Hikers and Bikers could be using this path. How about putting this sign closer to the Tee Box.

There is a similar sharing of facilities on the 18th hole.

Great Course - Just off the Highway

Did not know this course existed. It is a great course to walk. Fairly flat and has some great challenges. Since it is was very windy, it posed some really tricky shots. The course is very open so the wind plays a great amount of havoc on your shots. Use an extra club. The greens are great and they roll true. There are no bumps like you get on other public courses. Course Signage can be better. It is hard to figure out your way if you have never played this course before.

Up & Down and Very Tough

This is a very hard course to walk. It was also a super hot day so walking up the 1st, 7th and 8th holes were quite the challenge. The walk up the 7th fairway is really tough and the elevation changes are dramatic. The views are great from the 8th hole. We played the Front 9 twice because a bunch of geniuses thought that they were playing Test Cricket instead of Golf. They decided to break fro lunch between the front and back 9 and decided to squeeze in between the foursome that was ahead of our twosome. The Marshal was very understanding and he offered us to play the Front 9 again and that helped us finish our round in 4:15 minutes. The greens are in immaculate condition though the rest of the course is very dry and hard. The lack of rain is telling on the course. I hope to come back someday and play both the front and back 9's.

This is a Great Walk!

A very nice course. Can we walked easily, it has a fair number of challenges. Plays fairly easy if you can keep it in the fairways. Since the course is flat and open you can recover from your misses easily. The greens are fast and they need to be watered as when they dry up they play very inconsistently. It would be great if course management installs signage for the holes. For a first timer it gets tricky figuring out where you are going after a hole is done.

Fair & Enjoyable

This is a very good course if you are a Beginner or an Intermediate player. There are lots of opportunities to use your Driver and you don't run out of fairway. The course is fairly open with great site lines. The greens are a little tricky to read and the speed is hard to comprehend. 3 footers run by the hole or rim out.
