Course is in great shape compared to the last year or so. It was wet today but the greens still rolled nicely They were still quick with the rain. Tee boxes are in great shape. They didn’t overseed the fairways but that would cost a lot of money bc of how big the course is. Still nice fairways tho

$35 for a mid morning round for the conditions right now is not fair. Course should be charging $18-23. Greens are less than 14 days of being aerated and no warning when booking. Greens were extremely slow and really soft. It Shouldn’t take around 3.5 hours to play a par 58, very slow group in front of us today with no one in front. Ranger came by multiple times but never sped them up. Cart girl was finally seen on the 16th hole. Course has a nice layout but pricing right now is not reasonable for an executive course with the conditions of the greens.

I’ve played this course a bunch of times in the last 15 years. It’s amazing how they’ll decide to put 2 million dollars into a clubhouse but NEVER EVER work on the course. It is easily the worst greens in town for many years. It’s unbelievably bad. Yesterday was the last time I will ever play there. Even if it’s free, it’s that bad. They have a bunch of old guys running the place not knowing what they’re doing when it comes to course maintenance. Shame bc it could be good. It’ll take a complete greens rejuvenation to get me to go back out there.

The 3.9/4 rating on this course is absolutely false. I get how it’s rural Georgia and not march selection but holy goat ranch. The front 9 is NOT terrible but still bad. The back nine is is the worst condition of any course still open. Some greens are like putting through bunkers. The website, Facebook and photos are from YEARS ago. $38 for that course is a shame, with so much traffic, they should be able to prioritize spending. I play on courses based on reviews and this course is fabricated reviews. Has to be. Only positive on the course is every hole gives you a different look. Has plenty of potential but definitely a backwoods course with wrong planning. If you’re planning on spending $40 for a round in this area, head more to Savannah. Will not be back as I pass through this course a dozen times a year.

Was looking forward to the course when I saw the comments but clearly they are fake or non golfers. EASILY the worst greens in Jacksonville and surrounding areas. I’d rather putt on their fairways. Awful course conditions.

10:30 tee time on a Tuesday and the foursome in front of us took forever. The ranger never came one time to help pace of play with 3-4 2somes behind us. These guys were holding up EVERY single shot with no one in front of them. Course was nice tho, not worth $44 compared to other courses in town that are in the $30s

I have played HH for many years. These are the best conditions i have seen here. The staff are doing a great job bringing the course back to glory. Hope they keep it up.

Played here because of positive reviews. The last few reviews were of excellent course conditions. The fairways and greens were in healthy shape, a pretty soft for some overnight rain. The greens were not overly fast from what i previously read. The fairways were in great shape. The tee boxes, however, were in awful shape, very few patches of grass. They spreaded some winter rye on them but didn’t aerate, it’s just laying on top.

I completely understand a frost delay. I don’t understand that if grounds crew makes the ruling at 6:30am that you send an email out at 7:32am informing players about the delay. Our tee time clearly stated on my email and receipt at 8:19. Everyone was pushed back bc of the frost (which is fine). Someone told the starter said we were the slotted 8:28 tee time even tho we showed him receipts and email. He said (oh well) I understand you can’t control the weather but the management for this situation was absolutely terrible. Course was nice tho. I now have golfed here twice and BOTH times the mgmt was awful with bad experiences. For someone who golfs weekly, this is by far the most unenjoyable mgmt in town.

I enjoy the course but the staff is very rude every time we go out there. We know it’s more of an older crowd and my group is 30-40 year olds. So we can’t tell if we are frowned upon there bc the staff is old as well. We have been there a handful of times and never a good time with the staff. Outside of that, we like the course. I will say that the bunkers are the worst from Camden county to St. John’s county.

My group golfs over 50 rounds a year. This is the first time we heard the excuse, "we ran out of range balls." It immediately put a damper on the day bc the group could not warm up. I understand it's not a big deal to some but to some it is.

The marshall didn't set the tone. It normally takes me and my group 3-3:30 to finish 18. It took nearly 5 hours because the groups ahead didnt keep pace. This was on a Wednesday.
