Was in excellent shape!

As we pulled up to the course you could see how well conditioned it was, especially since most other courses here in SoCal are dealing with drought issues. Fairways were great, greens were deceptively fast, and pretty difficult to read.
The course itself is mostly open (only lost one ball and still not sure how that happened) but the bunkers, greens, and wind, make up for that. It seems like almost every hole from 6 on is into the wind!
Lots of fun.

Great afternoon value! Wind is always a factor.

Teed off at 2:30 on a Friday and while it was pretty open, I guess a late rush caused it to slow down a bit. Course is in good shape and I lost a ball on the second shot on 9 (again!). Beneficial if you have both a fade and a draw in your arsenal...if not, less than driver and straight is your best option!

Improving with time

This was the second time playing this course since the change of ownership (first time was within a couple weeks of the change) and you can see the difference in the course condition. Tees and greens are in excellent shape and they're making improvements in the fairways, albeit somewhat slower (tehy should've been punched after the last rains...) but that's understandable.
If they continue on this path the course should be fantastic in the near future.

Good course for working on fundamentals

Working on getting my driver back and after a lot of hours and balls on the range, thought I was close. Fallbrook is a great course to test on as, if you haven't fixed your fade/slice, you still have a good shot at playing from the other fairway on several holes. It also provides opportunity for high iron approach shots (8 through wedge) since several greens are protected by either an overhanging tree or a bunker or two.
Pace of play can be an issue because it's a good (nearly great but conditions need to be better) course for the cost so it can fill up. Front 9 - 97 minutes, back nine - 150
