Colorado National Golf Club
Played On 10/31/2015Great views
Enjoyable course with multiple tees. Greens were bumpy and full of unrepaired ball marks.
Fairways are generous. We played as a twosome at 1:30 PM. Took us over 4 hours.
We did eat dinner at the course. Martinis we very skimpy. Food was average.
Todd Creek Golf Club
Played On 10/16/2015This course has no memorable holes
Tee time was 1:30 on Friday 10/16. Took almost 2 1/2 hours to play the front nine. Hoping that a few groups were just playing 9 and that we could play the back nine quicker, we went on. Took an hour and a half to play 5 holes. We went in thinking we could play a few holes on the front. The 1st tee was busy so we played 10 & 11 and drove back in.
Course was in fair condition, greens were fast but had ball marks all over. (And they give away repair tools).
To many other courses to try before we are willing to return to Todd Creek.

North Ridge Golf Club
Played On 08/26/2014Great improvements.
Pine Valley, now North Ridge has improved since new ownership and new greens superintendent. They continue to make improvements which to the average golfer may be incidental. The effect is a overall great golf experience.
Some of the best greens (private or public) and decent fairways make it feel like a country club.
The staff is the best and the restaurant is worth staying for a dinner inside or out on the patio.
Black at D. Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course
Played On 12/5/2013Great golf course played for the 1st time
Although the weather didn't cooperate, we had a great time playing the black course. Fog throughout the day hampered the visual aspect of playing golf. We still enjoyed our time and look forward to returning yo play in warmer/clearer conditions.
Facility and both courses are worth the trip.
Laurel View Country Club
Played On 12/4/2013Laurel View is an embarrassment to Hamden
In comparison to other town owned golf courses, Laurel View is in terrible condition. This is not due to the fact that I played it December 4, it's because the entire facility is run down and needs many capital improvements.
The cart paths are shot. It's like driving in a war zone. Many areas of washed out ruts were all throughout the course. The sand traps have not been maintained for months and are just another eyesore.
As a Hamden taxpayer, I am embarrassed by this facility and would never reccomend it to anyone no matter what the greens fees are. The current management group has been thrown off other courses and should lose this contract. Hamden needs to step up and make needed improvements and bring in a group that will make the needed improvements or sell it to a developer.
Hawk's Landing Country Club
Played On 8/7/2013Needs attention to detail. A little money but mostly labor to improve overall appearance.
With attention to detail the appearance and playability of this course would improve the experience of every player.
From what I saw, if would take very little money and some extra labor to greatly improve the golf course.
