Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon - Champions Course
Played On 01/23/2018No ball washers? WTF
I find it really hard to believe this course will be hosting a Symmetra event in a few months. There are no ball washers on this course or on the carts. We asked the ranger and were told last year's carts had ball washers but this year's do not and the board had been petitioned to get ball washers or even "decorative buckets" to no avail. The course itself was just in okay shape, however, the greens putted well. This was our second visit and both times it was very, very windy. We only paid $49 each (included cart and range balls) but regretted not paying more and playing a nicer course.
Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa - Pete Dye Resort Course
Played On 01/20/2018Snooty Staff
We absolutely love the Pete Dye course. This was our second visit and enjoyed it as much this time as the first.
About half the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful (shuttle driver from parking lot was very pleasant). The other half were snooty and just a little better and smarter than most. Specifically the pro shop staff and bar staff near the pool. This is exactly what we experienced on our first visit as well. Its too bad but that is what we remember the most about this course/resort.
Country Club of Barre
Played On 09/14/2014Cold day, fast greens!
It was a cold day at Barre CC with a high below 50 degrees. The course was in great shape and the greens were very fast. We love the course and highly recommend it. It is a challenging, scenic course with blind shots, elevated tee boxes and great views of Vermont's green mountains. The range is just okay and a ways from the clubhouse. The clubhouse is nice and the deck for post-round bevs is great with a nice view of the challenging 18th green. See you soon!
Orleans Country Club
Played On 08/31/2014Northeast Kingdom Gem
Orleans CC is worth the drive to a very rural location. It is easily walkable and very forgiving.
The course is also woman-friendly. Today the greens were fast and the rough was heavy. The driving range is sufficient with 2 putting greens. There is no bev cart so plan ahead. There is a full restaurant and bar with screened-in porch overlooking the 18th green.
Killington Golf Resort
Played On 08/30/2014Great day on the mountain!
I love this course! This is probably my favorite Vermont course. It has excellent scenic views and great elevation changes. No flat lies. The course is in great shape however the greens are a little slow. Nice clubhouse and friendly staff. Full bar on beverage cart which was needed! No range with very large putting green.
