Course is in good, but not great shape. New carts run great. Some soggy areas in the fairways due to recent rain. Fast greens minus #18. No crowds. Picked up a hot deal and was able to get a round for 4 at $76.

Played here a few times before...I was a little disappointed by the course conditions. There was a recent aeration but a few of the greens weren't coming out of it well. We also got backed up a few times by slower groups which got priority because they live in the community. Also disappointed that we had to play the Memorial 9 which is a much easier set up than the other 3 9s.

Course was in excellent shape for recently being aerated and the price was a steal considering the cost at other Marion County courses. Layout is fairly simple and provides for a shot at a low score. #11 is one of the most awkward par 4s I've ever played. I will definitely be back!

Booked RO through a hot deal and played it for $21 each. Course conditions were great...took a little while to dry out but overall great. Greens were firm but didn't roll no matter how hard I seemed to hit it. I would definitely go back!

Had an overall great experience. Course was in the best shape I've ever seen on Marion County. Challenging, long par 4s. Played for $33 b/c of the hotdeal but I can see why they expect you to pay the $48 in peak hours.

Living in Ocala and playing for a few years now I've heard people rant and rave about how nice this course was. I wouldn't pay more than $10 to play there again. The greens were half and half hard sand painted green. Spots in the fairways were like dirt patches. The sides of the fairways were covered in leaves and fallen limbs/brush. My group was just ready to get it over with at about the hole 14 mark. The layout and design were fun and challenging, but the above made it all bad. Big waste of $36!

The Shores is the best course around for the price you pay. Everything is always well maintained and the facilities are in descent-good shape. The greens are always fast no matter the time of year.
