Raceway Golf Club
Played On 06/22/2017Worst golf experience ever!
The golf course is literally side by side touching a race track. We had a tee time at 10:52 and the cars started racing or qualifying at 11:00 and kept racing throuought the day! You could not concentrate, focus, or even TALK to the people you were playing golf with! The noise was so loud my ears were ringing for hours after the round..We kept hoping they would stop at any minute but they did not. There was a marshal at the third hole who laughed and said sorry about the noise. My nerves were shot, my ears were ringing, and we were all glad the round was over. No warning from the pro shop or anyone about the cars, just a sarcastic remark from the marshal. I cannot believe the course management would let anyone golf with race cars zooming around a track only a stones throw away. Very dissapointing.
Green Valley Country Club
Played On 12/11/2016Poor staff, poor fairways, nice greens
We checked in for the first time. The cart key and my receipt was handed to me without a word being spoken by the staff. I asked where do I get a cart, where is the first tee etc? I got a couple of grunts and points and he left. The fairways were all hard pack-good roll. The greens were good and fast.
Norwich Golf Club
Played On 05/26/2016Slow, slow, slow!
Play was unbelievably slow for a Thursday afternoon. There were twosomes that could have been paired. There were foursomes that did not belong on the course, and with no marshals, chaos ruled. Our round was 5+ hours and we waited on EVERY shot. One hole even had three foursomes in the fairway waiting to hit on the green. They were all hitting into each other out of frustration!
West/North at Elmridge Golf Club
Played On 08/06/2015Painfully mismanaged tee times
We played the front nine in under 2 hours. We made the turn and found 3 foursomes from a league waiting in front of us. After 4 hours of waiting on the back nine and playing six holes we gave up. Starter had no clue and did not care. She asked if we were Golf Now and then copped a huge attitude. Last time we will play there.
Swiss Fairways Golf Course
Played On 3/16/2013The course needs a lot of attention to fairways, tee boxes, bunkers, amenities. Greens are getting better.
The course could be very good, but has been neglected. Work needs to be done to tee boxes, fairways, bunkers. Greens are getting better, Cart paths are adventerous and need attention. Signage is very poor. Hard to see where fairway begins and ends.
Hello
Thank you for sharing your experience. We apologize for the noise produced by the track during your visit. While we are adjacent to the track and have been so since we began, this weekend was a bit louder as it happened to be the Vintage Motorsports Festival, and those cars are a bit ... louder. Most days the sound of race cars is in the background, particularly on weekends, but for some it's an unexpected experience.
We'd love to have you back as our guest at a time that works well for you! We also have two other courses you can play at if you prefer. They are not adjacent to a race track! Please email me and we can coordinate your next visit: steve@tristategolfcompany.com.
